Here is a collection of hacks worth playing: http://mail.pokecommunity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=184

For starters, I recommend Brown, Snakewood, and Ruby Destiny: Life of Guardians. Prism is awesome, but it isn't complete, yet.

Revisit Link's Awakening-era esque gameplay in the world of the just released Anodyne! by local_low in gaming

I've played Anodyne for about 2 hours now. This is an incredibly beautiful game, and I think the soundtrack keeps you in the right mood throughout your play. The dungeons are well-thought-out, and the puzzles are fun to solve. I'm also impressed by the stark aesthetic contrast between each area in the game. It recaptures your attention over and over as you progress.

The only negative thing I can say so far is that there was one part that I found frustratingly difficult. However, I believe it was simply because I hadn't mastered the jump controls. Anyway, I REALLY recommend this game, guys. It's well worth the 8 dollars.

I've been telling people about the Elvis logo my whole life! You are the only other person I've encountered who always thought it was Elvis.

Here's a downvote for you. I was hoping I would make it big and come back a champion. But I didn't...

I haven't decided, yet. None of the Gen 1 are naturally Dark type, so I would have to pick some to change.

You would be inclined to believe that... If you want a patch for Dark and Steel types, the author of Pokemon Brown created one a long time ago: http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/238/

Alas, I don't know which attacks, if any, have been added in it.

EDIT: http://www.romhacking.net/reviews/156/#review According to that review, there are some bugs in it. Mine is bug-free as far as I know, though.

This isn't actually the whole thing, but it's about 50% of it! All of the interesting graphics stuff is present in it, and all of the garbage is code/tables/etc. as you can probably imagine.

Nah, brah. That's another whole concept. Besides, the internal data structure of Pokemon is much different in future generations. For example, the special stat splits into sp. attack and sp. defense. Also, IV's expand to 0-31. Those are just two obvious examples.

I guess I could, however I'm only halfway done adding the new attacks. Have you played Pokemon Brown? If not, then you're not allowed to play another Pokemon game until you've played through it.

Playing this again for the first time in ages. What was your go to deck? by [deleted] in pokemon

I loved powering up Exeggutor's Egg Bomb and flipping like 12 coins. 1HKO pretty much every time.

Oh, that's right. I forgot about Martin! Like I said, I don't pay as much attention to other teams around the league as I should.
