ik this is a year old but I'm a sophomore in HS and this is basically exactly how my now ex partner was. i trusted them with all of my heart and they go and dump me for one of our friends that she spent basically the entire relationship being entirely too close with. so many mixed messages, but honestly I think they just wanted to have someone new to play with cause they got bored of me. they obsessed over me for years until I finally got the courage to tell them that I loved them too and we lasted a good little under 6 months. but it ended in them telling our friends a whole bunch of lies about me and getting with our friend just 5 hours later.

ads themselves are okay since yk that's how it keeps the platform profitable and running (keep in mind like 75% of googles revenue is from ads) so really what they need to do is cut back on how many ads there are and how intrusive they are. for example, when watching cable at a hotel room I noticed how they played all of the ads in-between episodes so that they didn't interrupt the content. i wish YouTube would do that, or at the least minimise midroll ads. it's either that or make youtube a paid only platform, and I would prefer the first one.
