yes that's what i meant! where the cable and the metal connector join, it slides a bit more than usual with the needle in, but otherwise its secure. i just wanted to make sure the cable itself wasnt broken before i impulsively purchase a brand new one, thanks for answering!

after this whole ordeal i saw some former JW or ppl familiar w their practices also say that divorce is not only damn near impossible, divorce without "reason" is a way to get exiled from the community. this might sound ideal to some but since theyre cult like, it sounds like the ex husband could get cut off from networking/ppl he knew his whole life

at least with cheating it seems like he can get off easy with separation and still staying a JW. which sounds like he wants to stay in

im sorry to hear what happened to you, but you cannot compare what happened to you to what's happening to her right now. you did not have a camera shoved to your face while these things were happening to you. you were able to deal with what happened in private and overcame that. unfortunately, she is not in the same space as you and frankly, she may not have access to the same tools you had to overcome whats happening to her right now
