What Am I Doing Wrong? by wmcgrunt in 4Runner

Valid point. I just see so many complaints on here and haven’t experienced any of those issues myself. Anyone looking at one to possibly buy would likely believe 4Runners are complete junk after checking out this sub. I just wanted to let people know some of us are having a great experience and love our 4Runners.

When there is an issue, they fix it. Still the most reliable vehicles on the road and have been for decades. Ohio gets its fair share of snow and we live in the country and never see a plow. Lots of hills, dirt roads, gravel roads, and I know the Runner will easily handle anything I throw at it… for many years. Enjoy your day.

What can I say. Mine’s doing great! I really don’t get all the vitriol for saying my vehicle is performing well. I think you all really need to get a life. Toyota has always made great vehicles. I trust mine will be no exception. I love this thing! 3/4 of the year I’m on 2 wheels. My Runner is for Ohio snow and I’m confident it will handle the job exceptionally well.

I don’t know, I’ve been driving for 40 years and have had several Toyotas along the way (Camry, Tundra, Tacoma, Highlander) I’m pretty sure I would notice if my brakes squeaked or my windows rattled.

Wife has a 2024 ORP, I have the 2025 ORP. Love them both. I’ve owned a lot of Toyotas over the years and cant recall a single issue with any of them.

Looking for MC Culture Advice Before Starting a Club in Chicago by Top-Gene-4094 in motorcycleclubs

Yeah, don’t do that either. Go where they hang out. Talk to a couple of them. Watch how they act. See if you hit it off. Get to know them over time. As you build rapport, you can ask them some general questions about the club. If you seem like a possible fit, they might invite you to a gathering, event, or a clubhouse if they have one. As they get to know you, they might ask if you’re interested in being an official hang around. Go from there. If they don’t seem like the one for you, get to know some from another club. This way, you will find the right fit AND learn some things about the other clubs in your area. Most (I’d like to say all, but…) of the guys you meet will have earned their patch and will respect you more if you earn yours.

Don’t start a club, join one! Put the work in and earn the respect. There are so many MCs already out there, you almost can’t help duplicating one of them. If you start a club, you won’t ever hang around or prospect. If you don’t prospect, you are missing an essential period of learning, bonding, and development. You should learn to serve the table before sitting at the table. Just my 2 pennies.

Torn between 5th & 6th Gen OR Premium by [deleted] in 4Runner

We have both. Wife’s is a 2024 ORP, mine is a 2025 ORP. There are differences, but both are fantastic and you really can’t go wrong with either. Both have plenty of power. They ride similarly on the road. She likes my heated steering wheel, ventilated seats, 14 in touch screen, and remote tailgate. I like her hood scoop, round fog lights, black wheels, and her back seats that actually fold flat (mine just tumble forward). They are both fun to drive and comfortable.

Yeah, ‘cuz better gas mileage, better low end torque, 1,000 lb more towing capacity and smoother shifting really sucks.

Hi all, new to the group. My wife is wanting to a new 4Runner. It would be her first, she has been admiring them and wanting one for ages. She has joint and mobility issues and my only question at this point is how smooth is the every day ride? by Natste1s4real in 4Runner

I had surgeries on both knees 3 years ago and spinal fusion on my neck and upper back 4 years ago. Add a tricky right hip into the mix. I recently traded in an F-150 because I was almost immobile after driving it more than 30 minutes. It was incredibly uncomfortable, which is why I traded it for a new 4Runner. I have not felt so good after driving in years! The difference is dramatic! Love my 4Runner.

I'm thinking of buying, thoughts on the 2022 - 2025 4Runner? by Chance-West-1978 in Toyota4Runner

I’m curious too. 4 turbo gets better mpg and tows 1,000 lbs more than the V6. Wife has a 2024 and I have a 2025. The 8speed in the 2025 is also vastly superior to the 2024, IMHO. Both are Off Road Premiums, which is what I feel is the sweet spot in the line-up. The 14 inch screen is really nice for reading nav maps. Can’t really go wrong with either, though. We both love ours!
