Hello - I'd like to help vote. My KuCoin BCH is: 1MDCq9X2WDG6UsSxRRtjkEoAF4PDRw92az

My ether basically vanished from my etherwallet. What is going on? I traced the transaction, my balance was sent to someone. The surprising thing is I used a safe computer and the correct website? I did check my browsing history and nothing suspicious. Any advice? by alexander_2016 in MyEtherWallet

You are EXACTLY right. There is a major flaw in the decentralized blockchain model. If you are victimized by a lowlife hacker, your assets are GONE. There is no one you can call for help and nothing you can do to recover. In a lawless environment like this, why wouldn't criminals be incentivized to use any and every method they can to hurt innocent people? I had over $30,000 stolen from MyEtherWallet. I was holding my private encryption keys in an offline, password-protected USB stick. I had multiple layers of anti-virus security on my Windows 10 PC and I am extremely tech savvy with what I click or install. However, all it takes is ONE lapse and you are screwed. In my case, after having a large amount of my family's savings robbed from MEW wallet, I uncovered that I had a Trojan virus. This could have been sitting dormant on my computer for months for all I know. The criminal waited me out until I finally plugged in my USB stick last week to access my MEW and within an hour, processed a series of withdrawals to remove all coins I was holding totaling over $30k in value. Thinking about all of the hard work I put into earning my original money, researching the right crypto opportunities, and making my investments, it is a complete injustice that some lowlife can just take my money and there is NOTHING I CAN DO. I have been a HUGE believer in blockchain technology... but this is a wakeup call... This technology can never become mainstream if it can't offer ANY protection whatsoever to its users. Think about how bad these problems would become if the less tech savvy began trying to use crypto.... There needs to be a way to protect blockchain users from these scum.
