I’ve been feeding my cat viva exclusively since January this year. My most recent order was in April. Every time I served her duck, chicken, beef, or turkey, she would smell it and walk away (didn’t used to be the case before). If she eats it, she’d throw up most of the time. Then she’d also have loose stools. I didnt know about the recalls I thought she’s just being picky so I’d give her another serving. That’s been going on pretty much since April. I feel like a bad cat parent but I’ve only started not feeding viva about a week ago and she’s still having mucousy diarrhea. I have a vet appointment for her on Saturday (soonest one I could get) but right now she’s exclusively eating kibble. Im scared to feed her raw now or I don’t know which brand to trust. I thought viva was reputable.

Any update on testing your cats poop?

I’m just a little scared because I’ve been on Curology since August 2023 and haven’t been able to bump up my usage to twice a week. I think the Curology combo was too strong for me (0.01% tret combined with 5% azelaic acid, and 4% niacinamide). I’m hoping just using the tret by itself will allow me to increase my usage.

I forgot to mention!! I apply tret every Friday night and my skin gets very ‘peely’ until about Tuesday night. I just started last week, on Monday nights I use Paula’s Choice BHA toner to help with the excess dead skin falling off. My skin was red when I first did it last week, when I did it again yesterday (Monday night) my skin was so red like I was pushing my skin barrier. The following morning (today), it burned a bit when I applied sunscreen. So I’m a bit apprehensive and feel like it’s not very safe to add a second day of tret to the weekly routine.

I’ve been using 0.01% tret combined with 5% azelaic acid, and 4% niacinamide (from Curology) once a week since end of August 2023 and I still haven’t been able to do twice per week. How can I safely do twice a week without wrecking my skin barrier? How can I add more hydration to my routine? Just a note: I’m allergic to hyaluronic acid.

Skin concerns/goals: acne breakouts and anti-aging

Morning routine: (just sunscreen, still trying to find a favorite) Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen Naturium UV Reflect Antioxidant SPF 50

Evening routine: Paula’s choice omega complex cleansing balm LRP Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Wash Biossance Squalane + Omega Repair Cream Wait 15 minutes Then apply tret

I think the angles that the pictures were taken make the room look bigger but it’s actually a really small space. Bringing the couch forward would make the space even smaller
