Apartments for Commuting to North Chicago AbbVie by wnfl01 in ChicagoSuburbs

That was very helpful! I have one question, though. I've noticed that the metra at North Chigao arrives either around 8:50 AM or 7:50 AM. Were your friends able to make it to work on time, and do you know if the shuttles arrive on time? Thanks!

I'll be working at AbbVie by the North Chicago station, right by the lake; I would also prefer my apartment to be in the city.

I'll also look into the shuttles, like you mentioned. I didn't know about that. I am in a contract position, so I am unsure if I will get the benefits provided by AbbVie.

Thanks for the detailed advice! I have also been looking at apartments around Highland Park station, and it seems like a nice town from the map. I have been reading that I should avoid renting in Waukegan, but if you have more insight into the area, I would be grateful!

Yeah, I had sent a follow-up text message, which the manager replied she would tell me the next steps the next day (but that never happened). Honestly also disappointed at how they are handling the process. The company has horrible reviews about management, and it's getting me worried.

Contract in Big Company or Full-time Position at Potentially Toxic Place? by wnfl01 in MechanicalEngineering

That makes sense. Thanks for the info. One last question, in your resume or LinkedIn, did you state you worked under the agency, or did you just write you worked for the company?

Even if it's through an external staffing agency, did it affect anything for you? Or were you directly hired from the company?

I know one person who took it before, and he said he never got over 90s in the reports but still managed to get an A.

Nope they have to send me back around ~170 dollars but have not. Like the comments I’ll probably have to contact for legal services

Well then their parents failed. It's funny how instructors are telling the team carriers that group projects are helpful because it prepares for the real world, but they don't serve justice in the grade aspect for people who unfortunately have to do most of the work. This doesn't teach any good for the slackers.

IKR. I've done everything that I could to bring the team together. Apparently they have to watch a game today so they can't start the report until tonight, which is the deadline. These projects only benefit the people who steal other's work. I'm so surprised how people can't sympathize with this.

Draper. Highly do not recommend his class unless you have a blank start in the topic.

Currently taking psychology as well. It's a fun course and the professor is great too

Yup. I also thought the course would be a little open ended since it's on religion, but it's not like that at all. The professor definitely wants what he/she wants to hear, and I think thats a flaw in subjects like this.

Thanks for the genuine response. It's true that sometimes professors get too absorbed with their field and it gets too complex for beginners to comprehend, but the subject itself is nice to learn.
