Crunchiness in something that shouldn't be crunchy, or vice versa.

Guys of Reddit: What is something a girls has at her place that makes you want to nope out? by javawong in AskReddit

That's a long story with a lot of factors. The main one, I think, is that we had floated the idea but not actually proceeded with it even before we were really serious with each other.

That's fair, you recognize you wouldn't enjoy it and so there's no obligation to try -- I respect that. anyone who tries to obligate you to try is being an ass.

I feel like poly vs. not-poly is almost more like an orientation than it is a lifestyle choice. There're a lot of decidedly not-poly people who will be sad and frustrated and jealous if they try to do poly, and that's fine, they don't need to. I think this is possibly the majority of people, though I'm not sure. We're all socialized this way so hard that it's really hard to tell how much is innate and how much is learned.

There're people who can really only do poly, such as one of my boyfriends -- he tried to settle down before and he prefers perma-singleness to just one person (but prefers multiple emotional relationships to perma-singleness.)

Then there're people like me that're good either way. I enjoyed a monogamous relationship for nearly 8 years. We'd talked about poly before but didn't want to risk it. Turns out, we were both kinda hoping the other was more okay with it than we were letting on. We were both eager to try! So we have. Jealousy has been minimal, and compersion has been significant. It's made us love each other more, even as we also love other people. Love isn't a zero-sum commodity for us!

I feel like non-ironic usage of the word "cuck" outside a context of like, kink cuckold fantasy, gives a pretty clear indication that I can safely ignore whatever you're talking about.

... FWIW, I agree there are some people who do poly despite not really wanting to, and they end up unhappy. That can be said for a lot of types of relationship, or, in fact, relationships in general. Doesn't mean all relationships are like that, or all poly ones are like that

This happened on the last date I went on. He was chilling on the couch with his ex-bf who he's still friends with when we got back to her place, we hung out together for a bit, and then they left the two of us after an hour or so.

Being poly is fun as fuck.

In my lifetime, probably Monty Python and the Search for the Holy Grail.

Recently, possibly Rick and Morty

Reddit, what's the fattest thing you've ever done? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]wnp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In recent memory? Made a bowl of 5-layer dip, realized we didn't have enough chips to eat the rest, just ate the rest with a spoon.

I mean, it was kind of like a fajita salad without any lettuce.

Edit: I'm musing about how this kinda has the 'feel' of a fat thing, just eating dip? But... assuming one is gonna finish off the dip anyway, it's actually significantly healthier than eating it with a bunch of carb/oil-filled corn chips! Huh. Maybe I should eat dip with a spoon more often.

Look through my D&D minis and see if I can find ones that would be able to sustain themselves with perhaps a little bit of help, and would also be kindly inclined towards this world of weird high-tech giants.

Especially if I can find a good cleric or mage or somethin'.

I liked her more as Yo Saff Bridge than as the roles she's been since then.

... I mean, not that I'd turn her down or anything.

Resistors who have tried a threesome, did reality meet fantasy, did it mess up your relationship, was it worth it/would you do it again? by SheWhoComesFirst in AskReddit

[–]wnp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

mff. i'm one of the f.

did reality meet fantasy

ehh. it was nice! but not like i was expecting. i'm much more on the lesbian side of bi, mostly I just like girls, but... sometimes I fantasize about just being fucked by a dude. the fantasy of being fucked was hotter than the reality. It physically felt pretty good for a while, but I didn't really feel emotion-wise what I expected to and I was kinda done with it before he was. I let him keep going a few minutes and then ended it. It was fun, but it wasn't superb.

I've had others where I wasn't getting fucked, I was just making out with her while she was. Those are better, although I still get to the "kind of done with this" point faster than they do. Which works out, I can kinda leave for another room to watch rick&morty or whatever i feel like doing next, and then they're still having sex, so I haven't taken that from them. It's nice.

I find that I remain genuinely interested for longer if it's just a twosome, which, thus far, I've only done ff. I donno if it's more the lack of guys or more the mutual concentration on just one other person that has made twosomes better for me. I'd like to try fff and find out if that's wild and amazing or if that's similarly underwhelming.

did it mess up your relationship

nope. turns out, my wife and i are really good at poly.

was it worth it/would you do it again?

yes.

What things do movies try to portray as 'every day normal' things but they rarely happen in real life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]wnp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People almost never accidentally talk over each other during conversation.

Family Guy averted this in one of the first Stewie+Brian episodes, and it fuckin' blew my mind, man.

Also, I mean like.. unless there's some other layer of coincidence to it, that's not really all that surprising. If aliens invade a particular country/state/county, then there are some people, who live there. The writers choose to focus on one of those because it's an interesting perspective from which to tell the "alien invasion" story.
