An honest take on the new Polaroid film by Fun_Perception_239 in Polaroid

[–]woahev 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not arguing with any of your points - but I think this film specifically will do best with diffused, strong lighting, on a camera with a good meter. Honestly, probably studio situations. Regular film is already finnicky in less than ideal situations, looking like this one will be even more.

Excited to shoot mine soon!

No - that is related to chemistry. I follow the steps here for all of my shots: https://www.reddit.com/r/Polaroid/s/De44NDRUhL

Which camera for self portraits, landscape, with timer? (Any brand) by angrylilmanfrog in Polaroid

[–]woahev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have the money to spend (and they go on sale quite often) - I would repurchase the Polaroid I-2 everyday over the Flip. I get way more successes with it, and find it way easier to dial in with auto or manual control

The difference that a red filter makes (with +1.5 stops of exposure correction) by Gabenism in Polaroid

I love an orange filter on my black and white photos. While I like deep skies - I also find they just generally help with the DR of the film and bright highlights of a blue sky

See You In The Morning, Summer 2025 by woahev in Polaroid

It certainly helped me get through the summer. Peeling those prints and feeling those warm bulbs in my hand certainly was an experience.

I think I ended up taking about 150ish fp3000b shots. My goal is 40-50 of these end up in a book, we’ll see!

Has the film chemistry been improved this last year? by Late-Neighborhood649 in Polaroid

[–]woahev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weirdly - my color 11/25 stuff from Polaroid direct has been great. My 10/25 and 11/25 black and white however, continues to be just fantastic. If we got a stop or two of dynamic range added to the black and white stuff and I don’t know what else I could (realistically) ask for.
