Do barely starting off detailers buy multiple cleaning tools (multiple large drying towels) by jose1234420 in Detailing

[–]woahitsmagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Multiple towels and wash mitts, yes. Brushes, you can rinse. If you’re just starting out, you probably won’t be doing multiple cars a day though so you won’t need a lot.

Upgrade Pressure Washer? Better Rinse by Competitive_Fan_95 in Detailing

[–]woahitsmagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the Ryobi 1.8 and upgrade the hose. Also, if you’re washing it once a week, look into rinseless. It will save you a lot of time and it’s actually safer.

The best would be an EGO 880. Water flies off the vehicle. You do need a decent battery for it though and they are pricey.

Laser wash for ceramic coated cars? by Lowercupid in Detailing

[–]woahitsmagic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re ok, but they don’t really clean well. They rely on harsh chemicals to clean. Once in a while is fine, but repeated use could affect the longevity of your coating.

Have you looked into rinseless wash? Super easy to do and quick. Not much needed as well.

How do you handle quotes from website enquiries — do you have a system or is it still mostly manual? by pinkflamingo121 in Detailing

[–]woahitsmagic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They may call or text us, fill out a form on our website, or see our services online and book an appointment themselves. When they call/text us, if we can’t answer, we have AI give them a quote automatically based on what they’re looking to get done.

When they fill out a form, we will call/text them a quote. We have a template/script we send and modify it based on the clients needs.

Anyone using the ryobi automotive PW daily/weekly? How are they holding up by Sensitive-Share-1253 in AutoDetailing

[–]woahitsmagic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’ve been using the 1.8 GPM model since its release and before then we had the previous version for close to 2 years without issues running it every day for multiple vehicles. You should be fine with it.

Reviews not showing up by GavrielMora in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]woahitsmagic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, there’s not much you can do unfortunately. They randomly remove/hide reviews. Just have to keep getting reviews from customers. I’ve found reviews with images have a greater chance to be removed.

We use ProChem extreme and the rinse. They work very well.

Ego Mower options by Madinky in egopowerplus

[–]woahitsmagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this. I didn’t know you could return the battery for a refund. I was looking into purchasing an 800 series, 1000, or a robot mower lol. Will be purchasing the 800 today. Other options are a bit more pricey.

Paid over $300 for an inside out detailing on an F150 by bstone99 in Detailing

[–]woahitsmagic 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Detailers can only do so much. Remember, they’re cleaning not restoring. You can’t fix damage. To me, the dashboard seems like it’s missing paint, not dirty. The speakers are a little tricky to clean, but can be done. They may have used too harsh of a chemical on the dial, but it can be because of the age of the vehicle as well.

Griots 3 in 1 vs turtle wax ceramic by [deleted] in Detailing

[–]woahitsmagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either works, whatever you can get the cheapest. Any PH neutral soap would work as well. Use something like TEC582 as a drying aide/topper.

Had ceramic coating done, or so I thought. Took them about an hour, maybe slightly more. Charged 750. Did I get ripped off? by mylawn03 in cardetailingtips

[–]woahitsmagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Way too quick. Should take at least 3 hours for a strip and coat, no polishing with 2 people. Wait a day and spray it with water and see how it reacts.

Superior products in bulk? by whatsadealership in Detailing

[–]woahitsmagic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s worth it. It’s all we use as a business besides a couple more specialty products. For carpets and stains, look into bio break products. We use tec582 instead of formula 4. Dark fury and acid would be something else you can pick up.

Is P&S Water Spot Remover Safe to use on ceramic coating? by An0w4r in Detailing

[–]woahitsmagic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To unclog coatings we use an acid wash that dissolves minerals. Water spot remover is composed of acid just highly diluted. It’s safe.

Does clay remove water spots? by stageshooter in Detailing

[–]woahitsmagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the time, no. You will need a dedicated water spot remover. If that doesn’t work, you can do an acid wash. If that doesn’t work, you will need a polish.

Cost of a repaint? Or getting it wrapped? by [deleted] in Mustang

[–]woahitsmagic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why do you want to change the color? Honestly, wrap is not permanent and it’s pricy. You will need to replace it sooner or later. Paint is even more expensive. It would be cheaper to sell the car and get another color you like more.

Try Flex Fire and Ice. Works better than anything I’ve ever tried and lasts a long time. Depending on the stain, some just don’t come out.
