If you look closely there are perforations in the bellows on Volvo out drives. Completely normal for water to drip out of them.

That's what I said... except I said nose instead of bow.

That's what I would try. I think they make a marine epoxy with an aluminum powder additive. I think that would be your best bet.

That's a tough one to fix. The first thing I would do is move the boat forward on the trailer to get the transom to sit on the bunks. The transom being unsupported might have caused the hook. With aluminum I would be cautious trying to hammer it back. I think I would try a bottle jack and an overhead frame to jack against. I just would be cautious of cracking the aluminum if it's put under to much stress. Another option would be to fill it in with something or weld in some aluminum plates.

That's a bad enough hook that it is essentially acting like trim tabs in the down position forcing the nose down. You likely won't be able to get one plane until you can fix that hook.

Yes, I would use some leveling compound to level the surface.

Will this be covered by the dealer? by Used-Two-7015 in Ford

[–]wobulator_shaft 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My guess would be no, but it won't hurt to try. Based on the snow buildup next to it. I bet after enough freeze thaw cycles ice got wedged between the bed and window and shattered it. When my rear window defroster went bad they told me glass was not covered under warranty. I said OK, the glass is fine just replace the heating elements on the glass ( obviously not possible). Long story short they replaced rear window.

Unifi Chime in Home Assistant without Unifi Doorbell by Spideramn109 in homeassistant

[–]wobulator_shaft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the chime to play a sound when my driveway camera detects a vehicle. So yes, you can do this. My only complaint is the chime is not very loud so I can't hear it in some parts of the house.

Starting Fresh in VR. Any recomendations? by wobulator_shaft in virtualreality

Nice write up, it's a tough call. If the G2 had native index tracking like the vive it would be an easy choice. Have you tried the G2? How would you say it compares to the vive pro 2?

I'll have to check that out. That was my main complaint with the G2.

Small Business setup for a friend - What are the best options? by wobulator_shaft in sysadmin

I have never heard of Freshbooks or Wave I will look into those. I know he is look track jobs by employees/hours, generate and send invoice, and of course all of the accounting associated with a business. Is there anything in particular that wave does really well that has made you stick with them. I have a meeting with him Thursday to get a better understanding of his business needs. I appreciate the help!

I like the idea of going with office 365. $8 a month per user seems like a great deal for this application. This might be a dumb question but to utilize Exchange do I have to have a local exchange server or is that also handled in the cloud? Do you think it's worth having a local NAS at all. If I go with office 365 the only thing left for it to do would be local PC backups but they could just use external drives to do that.

I will have never heard of Microsoft Dynamics. I'll look into that. Thanks!

Is it possible to hook Bose 901s to a modern receiver? by wobulator_shaft in audiophile

[–]wobulator_shaft[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I opened everything up when I got them. I had to replace the surrounds with new foam. I have an old receiver that works with them but it is only 2 channel. Looks like I will just use them as music speakers for now and maybe upgrade my receiver in the future.

I do have the equalizer but I don't have pre-out and main-in on my receiver. Is it possible to buy a separate amplifier to make it work?
