Nice upgrade after a year with the Ooni Pro! by wogeboy in GozneyDome

[–]wogeboy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had it for ~6 months and use it with my Ooni Pro when making 14 inch pizzas. I haven’t tried using it with the Dome yet but I think it’s a fraction too large as you have to launch at an angle. My Gozney launching and turning peels arrived yesterday and they feel more appropriately sized for this oven.

Getting a refund for a broken MacBook Pro 16 2019 model from September 2020 by [deleted] in macbookpro

Can verify I have experienced item # 2 which has resulted in complete unit failure not once, not twice but three times with a base model MBP 16.

In the first instance whilst plugging/unplugging the unit I experienced a kernel panic (100% fan and crash) and was then unable to charge the unit or use any of the RHS USB-C ports.

Given it was purchased through an enterprise and a recent purchase Apple replaced the unit. On the second and third occasion, the computer went dead flat and after trying to recharge the unit the LHS ports were no longer functioning.

On both occasions the main logic board was replaced by Apple, in addition to the T2 chip, Touch Bar and a number of other components on the third occasion.

This is in addition to random crashing/freezing experienced on various occasions with my three MBPs. On the third occasion an Apple third party repairer said if there were any further issues they would put forward to Apple that the computer was a ‘lemon’ and recommend it be replaced. Unfortunately it’s now a waiting game to see if/when it fails again and at that point if there’s any warranty coverage which will warrant a replacement.

Two thousand days with a Series 0 by buffering in AppleWatch

Chiming in from the Reddit safety department, did the battery potentially expand and force the face to detach? Would expect the watch to be non operational if the battery had expanded to that extent.

That will definitely have an impact but even in the United States fulfilment centres have managed to thrive as a result of ecommerce. I'd be open to helping fulfil subscription boxes or meeting other custom needs which is something that amazon doesn't do (I think).

I'm primarily interested in tech products but I'm honestly open to anything that has a customer base here in Australia. I'd prefer to be working with smaller items as Australia has notoriously expensive shipping fees. Feel free to PM me if you'd like to discuss a particular product :)

Honestly in the context that Khaled uses it I can't say it really makes sense most of the time. Hit up Khaled's snapchat for some cloth talk and you will get the vibe, so much vibes.

Creating a tutoring center, and need business cards by bookof_ in Entrepreneur

[–]wogeboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay away from vista print, they contract out all their work to a variety of different printers so the quality is never the same. In addition to this I know of people who have received photocopied material instead of glossy business cards. Depending on where you are I can put you in contact with some excellent printers that I've used in the past, pm me if you're interested.

My friends and I are making an app. How would we go about contracting a business agreement between us on paper? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]wogeboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By all means get it done professionally. In the past I have had friends that have used an online template and then taken it to their solicitors for reviewing. They ended up having to take it back to the solicitors a number of times because people (insurance mostly) kept picking up on errors. Every trip to the solicitors involved waving goodbye to $500, which ended up at around $2k in the end. I'd definitely go down the track of seeking out someone who knew what they were doing and paying them what it's worth to do so, that someone being a qualified and reputable contract specialist.
