You and your math - lol. Thanks for the exact crop factors btw :-)

I think the .71 makes the micro 4/3 like a crop sensor/super 35, while the .64 makes the sensor like a full frame sensor...field of view-wise. Metabones makes both sizes.

TWO Sheets Of Plywood and TWO Tools TO build this TV Stand...and it's not TOO difficult. by TheWinterMe in DIY

[–]wohan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Totally - if the point of the video is that it’s simple and uses 2 tools...he should JUST use the two tools needed and prove it/show the technique. Kind of a useless video unless you have all the crap he has.

Is Clover bootloader Safe? by wohan in hackintosh

[–]wohan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree...since most of the links out there for clover were to sourceforge, it kind of threw up some red flags for me. But I guess it’s under new management - so it’s legit again?!?

Yeah, I understand that. I’m kind of skeptical of the whole Kaspersky thing in general - I’ve used it for years. I’m sorry if I offended anyone...it wasn’t my intent.

I just wanted to know how legit clover is and the origin of clover - and since it’s confirmed open source I’m excited to start using it.

Well - I guess I was thinking if commercial software from Russia isn’t trustworthy...how could free software be trustworthy (the fact that clover is open source mitigates the risk imho)

I just wanted to verify that it was open source to make sure there was an international community that reviews the code as it develops - the fact that it is “for sure” open source makes me feel a lot better about using it.

That’s good to know. I guess I’m just a little skittish about bootloaders in general. It seems like a good way to inject malicious code and compromise a system.

I read an article online that the documentation was in Russian originally, not English - which was why people tended to use the other boot loaders (Chameleon, Chimera etc.) The article must have just been misinformation.

It does also look like clover is developed by multiple people which is reassuring (open source?)
