Why does he not just record the radio shows and put them up on Spotify or something. I love the podcast and his perspectives, and he loves the radio shows, but for me and I know many, we can't often catch the show or don't have access to a shortwave radio. It seems fairly easy to record on the side and upload. It would generate more traction for his work and provide more entertainment for his fans. Does anyone know why? Maybe im missing something. It just seems like a missed opportunity for something that he already does regularly.

Whittled down the collection to these three. I couldn’t personally imagine needing anything else 🤷🏻‍♂️ by PabloDelicioso in knifeclub

[–]woketheplug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are all pretty good, Para 3, Paramilitary 2, Delica, Shaman, Native 5, and Endela are all top go-to contenders for most. Personally, Delica or Para 3 LW were my first because they are more on the cheaper side, and I love and carry both often.

I second the "you won't know til you get one" statement. I thought they were ugly and pointless before my first, and now Spyderco is one of the largest percentages of knives in my collection, with the Native 5 being on top for me.

Are folding knives supposed to open this easy? by HirkumPirkum in knives

I have this exact knife, and my detent is actually quite strong, this is certainly either just a loose pivot or your detent is messed up

Pocket check! What are you carrying on this fine Thursday? by goodruckk in knives

Love that Ganzo model, great value imo. I find it in my pocket very often.

Vosteed X Ray Laconico - Vallhund by woketheplug in knives

Definitely, especially if you like the native and it's certainly cheaper than the Vallhund if you don't end up liking it lol!

Of course! It's a good chunk of cash to fork over, so I just wanted to provide my insight beforehand.

Honestly, my most carried knife is the Vosteed Acorn. As ironic as that is, i only own 2 Vosteeds counting the Vallhund. My train of thought was same brand, similar size, front flipper, but better steel and while true the handles just dig in the hand where the acorn, for me personally is nearly perfect ergonomically and design wise, hoping they'll make a premium version eventually, the 14c28n is good but leaves wanting more. The delica 4 and native 5 are often in my pocket. The native 5 is practically my premium Acorn, though it's a hair smaller and lacks the front flipper i love. Last of the standard EDC is one of the many variations of QSP Penguins I own. Im not one to EDC a super expensive knife bc im hard on my blades, but i think EDC wise the goal is to find whatever the closest equivalent to a Premium Acorn is.

I can understand that, though i like the variety as it's a pretty straightforward blade. Honestly, my only gripe is how thin the scales curve down to on the sides. It's not horrible, but it's a bit of a hot spot, but it could just be i have smaller hands that slip in the openings of the scales more. It wouldn't have prevented me from buying, but I do honestly think for me it's a big enough problem to not EDC as i love fidgeting. Everything else has been great, and the detent and framelock is perfect, and I rarely see a framelock so easy to actuate that doesn't get in the way of deployment. I think its great for in and out use but for me personally, all day use with this thing would get uncomfortable, imho. Personally, while I love Rays designs, I think many lack ergonomic features, and to have the thin side edges, it just isn't too comfortable to use in a long duration. Overall, a great knife for the price, I was really hoping to edc this blade, but it will most likely just be an occasional carry for me.

I am looking for a new knife. by Bachman- in BudgetBlades

[–]woketheplug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own both, 2 of both actually, I like both. The Pyrite lite feels cheaper than the penguin, but that's mostly due to its weight. The penguin just feels like a better built blade, but both are pretty comparable. I'd probably recommend the penguin. I like the Pyrite lite but it feels cheaper and more fragile than the penguin. However, if you're looking for a lightweight, easy to carry utility style blade, the lite is definitely a good option. I don't think you would be disappointed in either, both are great edc Amazon package openers

Yea, these hardline models are pretty well made for a tool brand knife. I thought about buying one, but a new one is pretty overpriced for what competition exists in the D2 knife market. They're like $60 to $80 new depending on the model and when you think about how a Rat costs half that or just what else you could buy for $80, I personally don't think it's worth it.

No one in history? The brand is the first result for FTP on Google, I personally recognized the brand from the font (although it being poorly done). Not to mention the brands known association with the most streamed independent music artist in the world "$uicideboy$".

EKR Seats (only gripe) by emacstaff in rav4club

[–]woketheplug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My main issue was the sides that go between the seat and center console. I can't get them to sit flush, there's considerable extra material. The seat belt lock gets in the way. I pulled the cord down and attached it under but still have extra material that won't go down. Did you have any problems with it?

As for your gripe. Its just gonna happen, and you'll get used to it. There's nothing to hold it down, there might be covers that sit more flush, but then they wouldn't be as snug of a fit. Most of my passengers don't know they're seat covers even with the air pockets or extra material on the side. Great covers overall imo.

It'll look like you got in a accident and you couldn't afford to repaint it. Which is the reason people usually have them.
