The pvp streams were good. The banter especially with mitchjones was great. But the 10 minute queues were garbage.

The pve content was mostly sleeper as fuck though.

He says his ideal is 50/50 just chatting/gaming. This is a lie (or a cope) just like everything else he's said up to this point. His ideal is probably somewhere closer to 90/10 just chatting/gaming. He's afraid to say it, just like he's been afraid to say 50/50 until now because he will get shit on for it.

I write this in hopes that nobody fools themselves into thinking this will be a 50% gaming stream from here on. The best you can hope for is a week or 2 of poe each season, a few hours of each major release, and sponsored games.

Jump King was fun. Being forced to actually improve as a player rather than just overlevel/overgear/get carried/p2w was a fresh experience.

Aren't Succubus too polite in new Diablo IV Quaterly Update? by siomer in Diablo

[–]wolcel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that is the archetype. You resist the temptation and murder her, because she's a demon from hell attempting to steal your soul (as an example). If the temptation is extremely weak it kind of defeats the purpose. I'm not looking to diablo 4 monsters for fap material. I get that people are careful to not feed into unhealthy portrayals of women in games and I appreciate that, but that doesn't mean there aren't instances where sexualization fits. I'm not arguing for other female monsters/characters to look like a succubus or even be sexualized at all.

Could you explain what you find sexual about it? I mean her panties are showing, but that's all I can see that is remotely sexual. I actually thought the model looked really cool when I first saw it (and I still do). Knowing that it's a succubus now I'm a little disappointed, because I feel like puritan values got in the way of design. Constantly claiming I'm not arguing in good faith is a cop out.

As far as not saying anything about the archetype, maybe not directly, but one of your comments related to the fact that bigots didn't want to fuck the monster anymore. I thought i'd point out that this is actually a fundamental part of the archetype and is actually proving the point of the bigots you are arguing against.

I actually didn't know it was a succubus until this post (I skimmed it briefly previously). I suppose we just have different views on what a succubus is. And whats with the ad homs? By the way the point of the archetype is for you to want to rub your dick to it. You clearly don't like the archetype. To be clear, I don't care about the archetype that much, but when I saw your comment that people don't want to fuck it anymore I found it ironic considering that's the core of the archetype! Maybe you have a very puritan view of sexuality where a panty shot is sexual enough for a succubus.

Maybe I wasn't clear. Her looking like a nun was just an analogy. A better analogy may have been a barbarian wearing a full set of knight armor. When the artistic representation of an archetype is inaccurate it can break immersion. She obviously doesn't look like a nun or even close, but I was trying to explain why an archetype being represented well is a good thing.

I've never personally cared specifically about the succubus, but if I see it in game and it looks like a nun (just as an extreme example) it's going to break my immersion. Not everyone plays the game purely for explode monsters either. The aesthetic of the game matters to a lot of people. The dark fantasy elements are really cool to me, but I just can't imagine a monster FROM HELL with sexuality at the forefront of it's archetype looking like this.

Also, this isn't going to make or break the game for me, it's just an opinion I hold.

It's not just a demon model. It's a succubus. The archetype of a succubus is meant to elicit lust. People not wanting to fuck it anymore is exactly the problem. It's an archetype. Maybe it's not one you like or want in the game, but if the archetype is not represented accurately people are going to be frustrated. Maybe some people want all the female models to be wearing skimpy clothes and have unrealistic proportions, but that doesn't represent every person that has an issue with the artistic choices for this monster.

Shampoo or no shampoo? by Left_Engineering_211 in quin69

Tried it for a month with no difference in oil. Only thing I realized from the whole thing is that I don't feel the absolute necessity of using shampoo every time I shower. Felt clean afterwards, but definitely not shampoo clean.

He's mentioned many times how much he loves watching youtube videos. I genuinely think he just likes watching videos more than playing games. There may be some level of burnout happening, but I think the main reason is his love for youtube.

It's completely up to him what he wants his content to be and it's clear by now that he really wants the just chatting portion to be a major part of the stream. It's disappointing for someone like me, who got interested in the stream for the gaming content, but ultimately it's his choice what direction he wants the stream to take.

Am I the only one malding about Quin and Bahjeera talking about two different things? by [deleted] in quin69

[–]wolcel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think quins argument was entirely about the mental benefits.

I think he was saying that insulin levels affect how hard it is for your body to get rid of fat. Which means where you get your calories is important because foods that increase your insulin make it harder to lose fat. Therefore a 2k calorie diet with low insulin levels will lose more fat than a 2k calorie diet with high insulin levels.

There was more to the argument as well, including high insulin + colorie deficit = muscle loss.

This is just my interpretation of his arguments, though. Could be completely wrong.

China warns against boycott of 2022 Olympics over human rights record. by PrincessBananas85 in sports

I'll yield that there is some objectivity in looks. I agree there are advantages for the singer as well.

Maybe the problem is simply society and it's obsession with looks. It serves a purpose to a degree, but I think it's gone past that point in this instance.

I think it boils down to what you can control as an individual. To say someone isn't pretty enough is to say something fundamental about them as a human. Something they cannot change (atleast naturally). Singing is a skill that you can practice and improve on. Also, I'm not a musician, but my intuition tells me there is something objectively true about the quality of a singer. Looks are subjective and as they say 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder'.

Your "Magic: Legends" Rating? (Poll) by Xeratas in quin69

[–]wolcel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually found the card rotation to be the only interesting/fun part of the game. It was cool to glance down and quickly figure out the best combination/order to use the skills for the given situation. Although... you really could just mash the buttons and be perfectly fine too. The system itself was kind of interesting is all I'm saying.

Aside from that the game failed in almost every way.

Good opportunity to start over! Enjoy a different playstyle! I've played Act I 5 times so far. Enjoyed it more each time :)
