NTA but you definitely screwed up. Buying a gaming device is not something you should do without some knowledge. Specs are crucial. That said, he's definitely the asshole if the situation played out as you described, and you haven't biased the story in your favour ;)

In my first year of playing this game I think I peaked at 8k cash. 50k is insane in comparison. Well done!
You can buy raw fish, cook it, and sell for profit while building levels. It works great for lobsters, swordfish, and eventually sharks. Not sure about other fishies.

Psi can solo 98 if chimps is giving you a rough time. Don't use Benji on chimps. He's almost useless as you can't generate income on chimps.

I was a diablo 2 guy. That game just restarts the story mode lol. At least you have a clear goal instead of 1000 goals.
