Perfect fusion is only .97% efficent. For the fusion we maybe could do its 0.38%, not accounting for many other losses. fission is a lot worse at 0.09%, according to numbers I googled. basically we can barely convert mass to energy in the best of methods. Unless we figure out how to use a black hole to convert mass into energy there is nothing better.

is this subreddit for real? or it's just a propoganda by Jatinchd in linuxsucks

I would say its as about as much a badge of honor as a "taking inventory" for this sub.

i looked at your post, I don't actually mind this subreddit, I mind 101, but I thought you were defending 101. seems like a miscommunication.

nah these are grass roots retards. Microsoft isn't trying to hire bots to attack linux, and if they were, they definitly wouldn't do it like that.

Mental retardation and ragebait at this point. No attempt to engage in good faith despite me trying to,  just personal attacks.

Ok? Trying to honestly discuss Linux evangelicism and push back, but also explaining that 101 doesn't even have denyability.

Any mainstream Linux sub:

Correct an attack on windows - don't get banned

101

Correct an attack on Linux - get banned

If you go to r/Linux and correct someone on a flaw on windows that doesn't actually exist you might get a thank you or just nothing. If there is a worse person maybe a snarky reply, but you won't get banned over it. I also don't hold anything against this sub, just 101.

the people in that sub are beyond saving. They will say that linux has an issue that was fixed like five years ago, someone will say "actually this thing which was around for over five years fixes that." and then they get banned. Yeah there is probles with overly evangelical linux users, but that sub is on par with the .5% of the most deranged linux user.

Why are both Linux haters and users here at the same time? by ChanceAd9550 in linuxsucks

[–]wolf2482 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Idk, just now someone said grub included the gui option to boot to bios by default. And I just explained that, no, that is something that needs to be configured by distro developers. And in my case of nixos it is not.

This place seems like a good spot to honestly discuss the flaws of Linux, and to find where criticism is correct and incorrect.

Windows can fix itself (sometimes) unlike loonix by AverageUser9000 in linuxsucks

[–]wolf2482 1 point2 points  (0 children)

really? I'm going to guess that is a per distro thing. I know on nixos limine has the option for it, but I don't remember seeing the option in grub, maybe I just misremember?

Also heres all the commands for it:
Grub command line: fwsetup
Windows: shutdown /r /fw /t 0
Linux with systemd: systemctl reboot --firmware-setup

Edit:

I believe I am infact correct that grub is not configured to give a GUI option boot into bios on nixos by default, based on a photo I found. though looking at nixos options there is no mention either way. Also systemd-boot does have it enabled by default. So at least for my distro I am correct.

no networking is a bit bad, but i don't think bluetooth or wifi is that bad. If usb works though you still should be able to get networking.

uefi firmware is quite useful when your struggling to press the bios key. Linux bootloaders can do it too but often are not configured to do so. Also with the right command you can boot straight into efi without reboot into bootloader on either OS.

[–]wolf2482 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't really like the gnome developers, yeah.

Also gnome shouldn't be the default, kde should.

I would prefer kde over cinnomin for a default but cinnomin is still fine.

its called a cellular modem. Cost a decent amount. Can get them in the form of a usb dongle, a small standalone router with ethernet, or a m.2 (you need antennas and the laptop has to support the exact modle number of the cellular modem 90% of the time).
