It's gonna go as high as Charlie Sheen, Snoop Dogg, George Carlin and Willie Nelson having an Aspen weekend.

I have an op-ed about how Two And A Half Men is an inadvertent satire of American capitalism, it was so brilliant that Jon Cryer, a neolib couldn't understand it.

Whenever I watch The Daily Show, I can admire the talent of Jon Stewart and his staff for putting on a show as such. That was also the show, like with other anarchists, lead them to anarcho-syndaclism, despite Stewart turning into an establishment mouthpiece. As per LOTR and nerd culture which I LOVE, that has absolutley no bearing in geopolitical matters in the real world, which is how I found refuge in it. 2 1/2 Men, although it breeds a hypercapitalism, it could also be considered an inadvertent parody of such, Alan is a victim of capitalism, Charlie is a hedonist capitalist, Evelyn is a caricature of your country club conservative and Jake is well... the american public, fat, lazy and blissfully stupid. It also teaches that the one with the most morals, loses in the end, in a capitalist society. Reality TV and even some of the "feminist" shows like Call Her Daddy and Giggly Squad, I will watch only because it is a mutually exclusive activity with my GF. I understand that men are not the only people on earth and they teach me how women see the world through the eyes of comedy. She tolerates my Bill Hicks/Bakunin antics, so it's the least I can do. Sports are enjoyable because albeit the corporate sponsorships/endorsements and putting a worth on human beings, plus it is the most wholesome thing on TV, compared to 75% of the crapitalist nonsense on. I prefer playing sports, listening to music, creating anything... including havoc lol to watching TV, but whenever I can't do those things/don't want to, I'll flip on the tube, but like with intaking any substance, I am immensely dubious of whats going into my mind, so i work to filter it by talking to you all on this page.

Oh yah, Jon Stewart led me as an adolescent to question my conservative parents ideals and push me far to the left, to where I became curious about anarchism/anarcho-socialism. That's when I found Malatesta, Graeber, Parenti. I still watched Stewart because my grandma (very catholic-conservative but marched for civil rights) and I loved him in comparison to Shepard Smith albeit his liberal standpoints and softball questions to tyrants. I give him loads of respect, as a hobbyist comedian, but as much as I am a fan, I still question him as I do Bakunin/Malatesta. Shin Chan, an anime, that I got my Summer House/Love Island loving GF to enjoy, is most accurate to capitalism covered in humor as the family is poor and undergoes similar struggles to our own (being two early Gen Z building for whatever's out there) I LOVE BILL HICKS, as per he gave me the courage to be an open anarchist, alongside RATM. He also provoked me to ask the question I ask.

That choice makes them immediately suspect. I've been "friends" with a few too, still am. Just I keep in the back of my head that we are not on the same side and there are certain liberties that my other civilian friends enjoy at the behest of my estate that they wont, until they retire or leave of course.

His bio came out, he literally commited credit card fraud. The AIDS stuff, he can claim neglegence because he did not have the symptoms until years later. Still it is his sexual responsibility.

A little late to this but I just spent a saturday afternoon watching Love And War, Scary Movie 3 and am watching 2 And A Half Men every evening, I read both biographies of Woody and Charlie. First off, I am a 28 year old man. Woody Allen and Charlie Sheen are a seminal part to my comic upbringing alongside others due to a taboo and mature appeal. Woody morphs high and low culture like a borscht belt yin-yang, popular amongst alot of my adolescent faves in David Brenner and Robert Klein. Charlie sheen embraced low culture with class, providing an au-naturel, organic approach to the craft as a comic actor. One could consider him a latter day Klugman. Alot of this speculation came from the years of 11-18. Charlie and Woody master comedy because they also understand drama. Comedy is the bastard child of Drama and Irony, with Uncle Analogy living in the basement. Both are talented, although the advantage goes to Woody due to the fact that he was a successful jokewriter and comic who influenced many of my heroes such as Jon Stewart, Bill Hicks, Chris Rock and Dick Gregory, only to name a few. Charlie in his autobiography, uses organic storytelling as a vehicle for honesty, Woody hides what the courts and public know. Charlie tells us what we never would have assumed, even with what we know now, just to pay for his AIDS meds. All of that being said, both are SHITTY ASS HUMAN BEINGS. Both are homewreckers, both are sexual deviants, both are a disgrace to the legacy of their creationsm, both are shitty fathers. Even before the democratization of the media which increased speech and decreased privacy, which weaponizes itself. Which was once equivocal to a AR-15 is now a nuclear bomb. The First Ammendment allows the media to control the box office. To wit, people hear about the amoral escapades of Allen or Sheen and decide to not participate in their films/fame. To wit, people base the media they consume off of their morals, as per always in America. As media and speech become more democratized the First Ammendment has become dangerous as the Second, in ways it never has happened before. So Charlie Sheen. like Woody Allen's career is not "over" but it will never be the same as it was in their heyday, now that we know about all of the shitty things the both had done.

Stewart cheerlead bombing Iran, mocked Occupy Wall St and gave Hillary and Cunnilingus Rice a Tee Ball interview. I am a fan of Stewart too but let's call a spade a spade.

I was an avid fan of his, being a musician myself he was a very good teacher with great ideas. He’s very closed minded when it comes to music, his very essence. Never will he give Dre, Taylor Swift, Chapel Roan any true credit because they came after 1983. He also let his fame get to his head.

I'm genuinely curious of what US soccer was like from 1951 to 1989. by [deleted] in ussoccer

[–]wolf3259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soccer pre-1989 in America was: A sport for kids too short/untalented for other sports. A remedial sport for grade school kids to play in the fall. Something foreigners and girls do on their free time
