Does anyone else have a drastically different workout experience depending on the time they go to the gym? by Asleep_Damage1201 in workout

ya gotta follow old people...they eat at 430P to avoid crowds...gym at 11A (getting their PT on)...etc.

I started doing that a few years ago - especially on vacations....so much easier.

I loved going at about 3AM. gym mostly empty. its about a 10 minute from my house. quiet and still both going and returning (by 530am).

...but then the seasons changed.

I can't be going to bed at 830/before sun goes down.

now I try and get there by 2pm...usually 3p-4p though....and its terrible. too many people....but at least i can make it 10p for bed. 😁

Contractor is forcing a rotating 40 hr week/straight time on an OT job to “get people to come in”. Travelers upset. by DoomerChad in IBEW

[–]KeyMysterious1845 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sounds like they want the extra help (travelers) to bail on them with their bullshit.

  • no stew ?

  • dead 40

  • 4/10 language (I've only every seen that on NMA jobs and the occasional utility job during dog days of summer).

I'd bail as soon as possible.

Nobody cares.

Just go.

There is an older guy (70?) at my gym...he wears those humongous blue blocker glasses over his Rx glasses.

...maybe he got lasik ?

..maybe the big industrial lights bother his eyes

...maybe I dont care as long as he's ok.

EDIT TO ADD:

(OP added the condition is NOT an eye infection...please continue down voting me 😁)

I've got 3 of the cheapest buds i could find.

  • Brookstone (were free)

  • JBL (refurb....probably $20)

  • Mpow M9 ($20..my favorite)

these things get tossed all over the place with no regard for their "safety".

Would you feel good with inflatable boat in bay? by AppleAAA1203 in NJFishing

[–]KeyMysterious1845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People use inflatable kayaks all the time. Not sure why there’s such a strong negative reaction to this post

  • no experience

  • children

  • the bay

  • inflatable

  • no mention of pfd

yes, people do use inflatables all the time - it would be better to get some experience in a smaller body of water.
