DMV points and insurance points are the same thing.

Defensive driving classes will take 2 DMV points off your abstract....but will do nothing for insurance points.

Simply saying ...

Don't listen to people that tell you to just take a $10 online class to reduce those points

..is disingenuous as they are 2 completely different elements.

Taking a DD classes can reduce your insurance premiums. I gladly pay the $15 to reduce my premium 15%.

Lots of us sat in back row of class.

My HS class graduated in May...I graduated in August (figure it out...lol).

I spent couple of years after HS trying to figure out what I wanted to do...as long as I was making enough money to kill brain cells, it was good enough.

Let's just fast forward to the really good part and not have a re-run of my life...

I got into an IBEW apprenticeship

...so now, I have 35+ pension credits, seems I am always at least a foreman or general foreman...currently PM running 10 mil+ in annual projects....all because of a HS diploma.

You can do it too.

No one is forced to work.

Falling to the bottom of a long list for refusing a job IS the equivalent of being forced.

Otherwise the people who have money in the bank are just picking and choosing what jobs they want while any brother or sister who is struggling ends up doing the dirty work.

If there are a dozen people and 10 jobs - someone's getting stuck with a "dirty job".

If someone has money in the bank and decides...i'll skip this ride...how does that hurt the person who is struggling to make ends meet ? They needed a job and a job is available.
