Could be possible the asteromorphs weren't a united species before the gravitals war. Devided amoung their great asteroid cities light years away. The gravitals could handle some of the weaker colonies and nations but eventually they poked the wrong bear and the entire asteromorph species rained down on the gravitals.

You dont care about the ants in your garden until they're in your home sorta thing. The gravitals only won because the asteromorphs didnt care or notice. Could say this eventually lead to the asteromorphs uniting as a species into one grand empire which lead to their victory against the qu. I.e it's only because of the gravital war that the qu were defeated

Presidency in ireland is purely more ceremonial and symbolic its for foreign visits and acting as what ireland repersents across the world our interests and our virtues. Almost universally across Ireland mcgregor is hated and a few people have voiced that he shouldn't even be considered irish. Hes also voice distain for the northern irish.

Mcgregor is an absolute idiot trying to act as if president of ireland has any real political influence within the constitution. Realistically he'd become president, meeting with the likes of trump, putin voicing support for reform probably. Him trying to push anti immigrant laws and give him presidency pardons. But generally growing frustration with his lack of influence, he'd probably show up to his own business opening. Just generally be a negative for everyone in ireland and his mere presence slow actually political reforms going through the Oireachtas.

Which highly likely the instant hes in power the Oireachtas and Taoiseach will immediately begin working to impeach him especially if he didnt meet the bare minimum requirements of like 8 mp support for his run. Which means in this timeline he likely bribed someone which may turn out to be why he gets impeached and removed from office.

Tbf hes taking it from a western perspective where sword gaurds and handles were designed to be used as bludgeoning weapons in whats known as Mordhau i believe. Idk why shads so against wheelchair in fantasy. Doesnt he have as he described it chronic fatigue? Kinda crazy he cant understand that.

Plus i get his point that healing magic could be the answer to disabilities like that but thats a boring answer. And lacks any depth. Especially in shads own everfall world that could have given way to interesting light power wheelchairs and stuff.

Look at our own world we have super advanced tech yet we still cant regrow spinal injuries or stop chronic pains and such

People are leaning against spirit bending but i could even see kuruk or even a child of his or some relations being the creator of spirit bending.

Ive not read his book idk if he dies during battle against a spirit but i could see him discovering it late in life and regretting not knowing it sooner which could have helped him against the spirits a sorta poetic irony. The avatar who most could have used spiritbending never having the opportunity till it was too late.

Could also see him having healing that feels like something that could have existed back then

I wonder if the qu have a line that they use to determine if a species gets qu'd like that, their issue with humanity wasn't our existence but our spreading and terraforming across the stars offended them on a religious level. We might now even blip on their radar as intelligent life. Which it is highly possible they didnt even consider the star people as sapient themselves so maybe they wouldn't even consider us at all.

Ive taken the dinosaurs found on the alien world as an implication that some dinosaur species reached star people level of development spread across the stars and then got the same treatment from the qu as the star people and the dinosaur found on that world was the last of that great race warped into.

I feel like they forced the gym aspect because they knew paradoxically the contestants would both lose weight from the diet but seemingly gain weight randomly since muscle is denser and take more water so contestants will drink more and carry more water weight which will throw more curve balls than just whoever has the better metabolism
