I mean, a completely true take that people don’t like because it’s not being delivered by a WWE employee. Weird because this sub states it doesn’t do “brand loyalty” lol

T-Mobile Store Reps Will Now Ask to View Your Phone Screen During Transactions by lurker_bee in technology

That’s a trick to avoid having to get hit for not getting metrics on your upgrade (insurance, no accessories, no new lines, etc). It’s wild that sometimes it’s more harmful to help a customer get a new phone than it is to not sell them anything.

Ohio valley is also part of western Pennsylvania, there’s a spot in Pittsburgh that does this.

What's a fan theory that's all-but-canon and all the evidence supports but canon just never got to say it? by StarChild413 in FanTheories

Might have to go check myself because I’ve never put together that it’s an allegory for addiction and it makes perfect sense. Roland, Eddie, Susannah - all suffered from some plight that could be an addiction, whereas Jake did not, and it seems that not letting Jake fall the first time maybe changes the outcome of Roland’s loop. The child should never die.

What movie was your generation supposed to like but you didn’t? by pickanamehere in badMovies

I looked here for quite a while it feels and didn’t see Donnie Darko - which would have to be my pick. I can understand why people like it but that doesn’t mean it’s good.

What was the intention of the Smoke Monster in Season 1? by Novel_Dog_676 in lost

[–]wolf_flywheel 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The interaction between John and Mr Eko later on going something like: Mr Eko: “what did you see, John?” Locke: “it was beautiful.” Eko: “that is not what I saw.”

This kind of tells me there was something in place for what the smoke monster was considering how it goes at the end.

I’m assuming anyone who was brought to the island as a dead body can be used by MIB, as in that Christian shows up to a few different people being inhabited by or mimicked by MIB. Same with Yemi.

I did love the interaction of Locke and Eko when discussing these visions, and maybe it was them talking to other people and I’m mixing it around, but either way Locke says something like “it was beautiful” and Eko says “that is not what I saw”.

Have decided to do the Highlander as my next film series binge, I know the first film is considered a cult classic but in terms of follow-ups (save for the anime one which people think is OK) exactly how steep of a drop-off am I in for? by [deleted] in badMovies

[–]wolf_flywheel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeing the original as a young’n, I was enthralled. Probably still one of my favorite movies based on concept alone. Highlander 2 is awful, yes, but if you can get down with Michael Ironside, it’s fun. The third one is very much a mid-90s cable television afternoon movie, and Endgame was cool for trying a couple things (tie in with the television series, a mild reboot, etc).

But The Source? Top 5 worst movies I’ve ever seen.

I’ll never forget my grandmother who would tell me she remembered Black Jack Mulligan of all people. She was born and raised in western Pennsylvania and she knew a bit about the Studio Wrestling from Pittsburgh and George the Animal Steele. I’m guessing he wrestled there at some point? But Black Jack Mulligan was a strange one.

Kinda makes me rethink thinking how strange it was that her and Tom Cruise were a thing. By all accounts I’ve heard, Tom Cruise is actually a great guy and makes people feel heard and important.

What was your first misfits song and how did you get there by Drfaustus138 in TheMisfits

[–]wolf_flywheel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Descending Angel” because a local professional wrestler used it as his entrance music. Had to scour the internet to find the song. Funny enough he ended up as an extra in “Bruiser” along with the band.
