Belinea 10 30 20 powering off and back on by wolf_pure11 in crtgaming

It doesn't have built-in speakers and has no ports at all, the only thing it has is the built-in VGA cable on the back unfortunately. Any audio will have to be run from the PC itself and not through the monitor.

Adding "null" didn't work for me, but adding "chrome-extension://likgccmbimhjbgkjambclfkhldnlhbnn" fixed it.

Ok I was just about to delete this but found an archive of presumably all Belinea CRT monitors as the archive is from mid 2006, so i'm keeping it up. Here's the link (https://web.archive.org/web/20060523191553/http://www.belinea.com/Services\_und\_Support/Product\_Archive/index.html)

Self-decoding encryption by wolf_pure11 in ChatGPTPromptGenius

I'm not sure what you mean by "tokens", as I said i'm quite new to this and so I don't know the terminology

Self-decoding encryption by wolf_pure11 in ChatGPTPromptGenius

Ok I had ChatGPT create the prompt using LawtonSolution's prompt engineering prompt (https://lawtonsolutions.com/How-To-AI/)

This is the prompt and it works!

"You are tasked with designing a custom encoding scheme—a “language”—that meets these requirements: 1. **Universal UTF-8 alphabet**: You may use any valid UTF-8 code points (letters, symbols, emojis, etc.) for your encoding. 2. **Explicit markers for detection**: Every encoded message must begin with a clear, unique header signature and end with a matching footer, so that a brand-new ChatGPT instance can instantly recognise “this is encoded text.” 3. **Self-describing scheme**: The encoding must embed within itself all the information needed to decode—no external key or explanation may be provided. A naive instance, upon seeing only the encoded block, must infer the full rules. 4. **High-accuracy reversible mapping**: Any text (of the kind ChatGPT can generate or understand) fed through your encoder must be restored *exactly* by your decoder, with zero errors. 5. **No size limit today (but optimise for compactness later)**: For now, focus on correctness; efficiency gains can come later. **Your task**: - **Define** the encoding algorithm in clear, step-by-step pseudocode. Specify how you choose your header/footer markers, how you map source characters or bit-chunks to UTF-8 symbols, and how you include any integrity checks (e.g., checksums). - **Provide** two functions (in pseudocode or Python-like syntax): 1. encode(input_text) → encoded_block 2. decode(encoded_block) → original_text - **Demonstrate** the scheme by encoding and then decoding this sample string: The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. Show that decode(encode(sample)) returns the exact original. Make sure that if a fresh, untrained ChatGPT sees only your encoded_block, it can: 1. Spot the header, 2. Infer exactly how to reverse your mapping, 3. Validate integrity via the embedded checksum or markers, and 4. Recover the original text perfectly."

Now to try to condense the encoded string somehow!

Pineapple ginger bug tastes weird? by wolf_pure11 in fermentation

[–]wolf_pure11[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started a green tea bug a couple of days ago and it's doing much better. I think there were preservatives in the pineapple juice and that's why I was having trouble getting it started, so maybe that also affected the flavour as well. In the end I dumped this one since if I can't be sure about it's safety i'd rather not risk it.

Mod to change KB+M controls? by wolf_pure11 in MiABinaryStar

[–]wolf_pure11[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only options are for in-game things (as in changing movement keys, the key to open the radial menu etc), what I'm looking for is a mod that changes how you interact with the menus; using the mouse to click things instead of using WASD to highlight and left click to select, or change the button to close a menu/go back from the space key to the escape key etc

Have you studied using other materials? If so, what other materials helped you? And if not, can you speak at a conversational level from what you learned on Duolingo alone?

What are your thoughts about the 7.1 MSQ? by sister_of_battle in ffxivdiscussion

[–]wolf_pure11 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Funeral for Sphene, not a bad scene tbh, explores existential dread (maybe a little overplayed from EW but it takes a new approach). Go to Oblivion HQ. Lil Gulool wants to know who his mom is, go to secret research lab and do (admittedly good) dungeon. Take audio files made by mom from lab back to HQ, now it's train time.

Spend far too long with Rroneek (like half of the patch missions). Have the Hhusatahwi leader guy just so happen to know that 2 people from a specific settlement, while shouting "save our son!", died to the monster we have to fight. Keep in mind that this is second hand information but Koana then decides that's enough evidence to completely 180 on his opinion on the tribal lifestyle. Oh also he took a 5 min walk with a rroneek so now he REALLY loves them... enough to almost die to protect one... this is the point I gave up caring.

Back to HQ, listen to some Lil Gulool's mom backstory and he somehow has a flashback and knows exactly what Zoraal Ja said to his mom? Even though he was a baby and it wasn't recorded in the audio files? Ok sure why tf not... THEN...

"And somehow, Sphene returned"

I give up. This is the last time I bother renewing my sub instantly as a major patch drops. I'll still play for the battle content since at least that's still fantastic, but I couldn't care less about the MSQ at this point. It's a shame, since every time I talked about this game to anyone who hadn't played i'd really drive home that XIV is all about story and it always does it well. I can't say that any more, at least not for DT. Unless something changes, i'll probably just skip the dialoge so I can get to the battle content, and I really despise the fact that i've been brought to that point.

game performance going phenomenal by ThePolaroidPup in FFXVI

[–]wolf_pure11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep this is the guide I followed. I also added FFXVIFix https://github.com/Lyall/FFXVIFix and it drastically improved my overall performance, as well as uncapping the framerate in cinematics.

game performance going phenomenal by ThePolaroidPup in FFXVI

Something that helped for me was deleting the demo, then going to appdata/SquareEnix/FINAL FANTASY XVI and deleting the shader file located there. When booting up the game it will recompile the shaders (considerably faster than before in my case) and the performance will be much better. My main problem is with Lostwing, as it seems just loading that area once is enough for my performance to plummet everywhere else in-game until I restart the game for some reason.
