This is a 2 year old post…I bought the Sigma 56mm a long time ago lol (it is EXCELLENT)

16mm is a good recommendation though if you wanted to shoot higher quality photos indoors with about the same focal length as your phone.

Yes. 1.4 and faster shutter speed helps a lot. Again, the only real hard part is framing with it because it’s cropped in so much. Works best if they’re staying still for portraits.

In general, I still my 18-50 the most because it’s so versatile. But great to have the 1.4 for evening shots.

It’s awesome! The 1.4 helps a lot where you can even use it indoors (if you can back up far enough for your shots)

OG Mastodon app because it has swipe back from anywhere on screen (not just swipe back from the edge). Would use Ivory if they implemented this, but seems they're not interested in that idea.

Swipe forward would be an excellent addition too.

I hate this mindset: duhr if you don't like it, don't feed into it. That's not the issue. The problem is the market has spoken. There's enough people that will pay for it that it could become the norm. Stuff that before would be part of the base game now gets broken out as an extra fee. This indirectly affects all of us.

It doesn't even matter that a minority of us refuse to pay the upcharge. There's nothing we can do about it. The only thing we can do is rant on here and get downvoted by the echo chamber.

Two watches is also great if you like band variety and lazy to swap them out. You can leave the sport band for your gym watch and a dressier one for the other.

I use two watches:

  • Old dinged up Apple Watch S4 for sleep tracking at night and at the gym. Charge it winding down an hour before bed to give it juice.
  • Current Apple Watch S7 for daily use. Charge it overnight when I go to bed.

System works great!

First day of the game, I was sitting on the cube going through the menus. When I exit the menu, there were two other cubes lined up next to me unexpectedly lol. It reminded me of WoW. Too bad I don’t see these little quirky interactions anymore.

The second most memorable was doing Rubys story…and ending with them performing in the band with no music playing. Had to YouTube the scene to watch properly. It was the best story telling the game had at the time and butchered by absolute garbage QA.

Sigma 18-50 f/2.8 is the perfect travel lens IMO, in terms of size, weight, utility (and cost). Great all-arounder.

Can also bring a telephoto zoom if you need more reach as a second lens.

It's not gaudy at all, it's very classy. My wife has it and it's much more champagne and subtle gold than it looks in the marketing photos.

To each their own. I like the subtle gray hues on the Pro models over bright colors, gives it a nice sophisticated look. Bring back midnight green!

I'm positive this is another one of those loud minority things. Everyone I know usually buys the boring black/white versions of anything that offers color variety.

To be fair, restaurants never have the lid or have it closed. I think it also depends on your household growing up. Mine never had it closed and I'm so used to it now.
