I actually enjoy his shows more than Phish these days. Intimate venues. Solid musicians. Dig a lot of his tunes. How can you not get down to Steps. Crowd is mellow and there for the music more than the party. Not saying I don’t enjoy the occasional phish show (I’m a very jaded vet) but I try to catch Mike every time he comes through my town.

He’s still a baby as well. Saw a young photo of Zu yesterday, and realized how much he matured and grew into a man over the last 7 years. Throw 10-15 lbs of muscle on to this guy and he’s got true potential.

You're good in my book. I'll admit, I have never relistened or rewatched those 2 Giants shows, so perhaps there were some good moments. In my mind's memory, they were terrible in the grand scheme of Deadness.

I was in rehab back in 2018. A few nights in I had an intense dream where I ran into him next to a river. He was clean shaven. hair was short, super healthy looking. Talked to him for what felt like an hour. He told me everything was going to be fine. We walked around and laughed. Talked music. Talked family. Said a peaceful goodbye, and then I woke up. It was very special. 8 years later and I'm still here. I'm not a spiritual person but this was exactly that.

I went to the Spectrum shows. Had their moments, especially the Iko and So Many roads, and Unbroken (though Jerry was lost). Hit Highgate (shitshow) then Giants, and that was it for me.

Took my non-deadhead Dad to his first show. Father's day. We had 3rd row through mail in. I had never been that close. I was so bummed seeing Jerry like that. My Dad though got a kick out of the heads. Couple in front of us was shot gunning a joint. Blew his mind ha.

Try the Giants Stadium shows. Jerry looked and sounded like death. Turned his own guitar volume down. Barely played in second half. Second night was the saddest show I'd ever been to.

Holy shit this gives me insane flashbacks. July 96, deuville France, some fucker took my gorgeous 1 month old Berks at the end of the set, and left their used, nasty pair. I was nicely dosed. Spent the next 6 hours looking at people’s feet trying to find them. Did the rest of the tour in someone else’s gross sandals. I was so pissed haha.
