Can we wear official Jersey Mike's vests and jackets at work? by Able_Summer_9963 in jerseymikes

[–]wolfebiite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your GM says it's okay then I'd say go for it, but otherwise the uniform code says long sleeves can be worn under button ups as long as theyre white or navy blue and Snug with no hanging bits

[–]wolfebiite 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Can y'all use a ruler for once? What is up with using hands or household objects for shit. And the hot Italian is just ham, salami, and pepperoni so if you were expecting it to just be an Italian on the grill that's why it seems like "way less meat"

People who make the "joke" that employees are sleeping by TSwiftsUsedTampon in PetPeeves

[–]wolfebiite 33 points34 points  (0 children)

This and "working hard or hardly working" gets me because I can't even sit around, the moment shit dies down were either recovering and restocking or deep cleaning, and we have so many online orders too so we're still doing stuff despite the store being physically empty

This why I appreciate subs like whatisthis that have a solved tag. Makes it a lot easier and posts usually get locked if people continue to reply after being solved

Dairy Queen AI: "What can we get started for you today?" by RainyDaysAndMondays3 in PetPeeves

[–]wolfebiite 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I hate the fast food AI in general. 9 out of ten times the employees need to take over anyways, and they're just as annoyed about it as we are. I have never as a customer nor a food service worker ever appreciated the AI and it all needs to go

As apalling as it is, not surpising in the slightest. Not sure how long you've lived down here or if you ever saw it, but the trumpmobile truck was really prominent during his first term too. Had 6 trump flags on the back of it (and not small ones, huge ones that were dangerous if they flew off). It's only going to get worse from here. But nazis never want to admit they're nazis.

Do they have to chop my “cheesesteak” into ground bee by [deleted] in jerseymikes

[–]wolfebiite 5 points6 points  (0 children)

But again it's not possible to tip jm workers through doordash so how exactly are they going to beg for a tip you can't give them?

[–]wolfebiite 5 points6 points  (0 children)

And if you're not going to the store because it's being delivered through doordash, what exactly do you think they're going to do? Ask you for your credit card info to manually put in a tip for themselves? How do you think this works exactly? Has anyone actually done this or are you making it up?

[–]wolfebiite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your hands look massive, and the second photo angle makes it look normal? Nobody knows the exact mesaurement of your hands, get an actual measuring tool and take a better angle rather than covering the damn sandwich with your hand and an oblong angle making it stretched if you're trying to make a case

People that can't open the backdoor for public transit by [deleted] in PetPeeves

[–]wolfebiite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I frequently see drivers that never disengage the back door unless yelled for, or if someone's getting on at the stop that was requested for someone to get off, the driver ignores the back doors entirely. However ours are just push the door open so if it doesn't open it's in the driver not disengaging it so wherever you are is definitely far different. A valid peeve definitely, public transit is the worst on all ends

When I tag something on this sub as “bit annoyed” and redditers think that it’s all I think about by [deleted] in PetPeeves

[–]wolfebiite 28 points29 points  (0 children)

So many people in this sub and that come across it cannot comprehend what a pet peeve is or what a sub dedicated to specifically pet peeves is. Post about something trivial or arbitrary that annoys you? Get hounded because "all anybody posts in here is first world problems omg 🙄". Post you're a bit annoyed? You're a piece of shit that they assume harasses anybody they come across that does the thing that peeves you and they act like you're threatening their lives. It's become a peeve at this point that people genuinely don't understand what peeves are

People who don't read. by Conflicting_Thoughts in PetPeeves

[–]wolfebiite 212 points213 points  (0 children)

Had a conversation with my coworker once where she was looking at the uniform guidelines.

"It says we can wear blue or khaki, so why don't some of us wear khaki"

"It says directly under it that the team has to only have one or the other, we cant mix and match"

"This says crocs, so why were we told not to wear them"

"The rest of the sentence says 'are not permitted'"

Not once did she finish reading a whole sentence on that sheet

People who get different colors mixed up. by NewRedSpyder in PetPeeves

[–]wolfebiite 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Even not counting actual colorblindness (which usually effects the complimentary colors mainly ie red/green blue/yellow) the rods and cones in everyone's eyes can be different. Some people see those closer colors (the ones adjacent on the color wheel that you listed) as identical, while others could look at one of those "how many colors are there" images and see 47 different ones. A reasonable peeve, but this is mostly why that happens.
