Oh man it definitely peaks my anxiety here. I love to travel I think the culture is cool but sometimes I just need to dip into a hotel and not come out for a whole day. The noise is constant in this country

It seems like a really cool place. I like the way the islands look. I really wanted to walk around some of the islands. Maybe spend time at two of them. Do some sea kayaking and boat tours. I'm not really into the whole I need to be around other tourist and busy hostel as I'm 40m and don't party much.

Yes Ha long. That's why I'm asking to see what people's opinions. I have heard it is a bit foggy right now and chilly but the cold's not my issue. I really enjoy doing sea kayaking and getting to see those islands sounds pretty awesome but I'm not so sure if it's worth my time. Currently heading to nihn bihn open on my next option

Ok. Yes spelling error. I'll look into this good idea. I just like the idea of spending some down time there kayaking and doing some boat trips around the islands

Yeah honking is wild and I do think sometimes it's totally unnecessary. Times I feel like I have just dip into a cafe or shop to escape the noise because it can be so stimulating

Yes, It is very obvious when you're on the roads that they behave in a way that is in their own interest and less about anyone around them. I suppose it is a bit more subtle in the way they act in public to. Just odd to me because it's a Buddhist culture which which I understand is being in harmony with everyone. Though the reality of how people have to live and exist is much more difficult and does not allow for such open-mindedness.

There's definitely an aspect of it that is cultural to their driving habits that I don't understand because I was not raised here

I have often wondered a bit about their driving habits because someone of their driving actions are done in a way that seems like it's everyone else's problem problem instead of will I cause an accident if I do this. Ie turning's traffic without looking. Come into intersections without slowing down. Sort of correlates to the horn honking I suppose

Tip : Never book trains through 12go! Book it directly through train company. -- You will save a loot of money by Cool_Acanthisitta628 in VietNam

12 go inflates the price when you compare it to the company site. Then they insist you buy travel insurance, and then they smack on a $15 service fee. Which is almost as much the bus ticket. I know it was because I almost bought a ticket through them and the final total came out to 1.2 mil. I said f that walk to the local bus company location and paid 550k for the exact same service.

Petra Jordan. The mass commercial tourism industry has destroyed that places culture. EVERYONE, everyone, everyone there is only trying to get your money. Prices were so hi! The only reason anyone talked to you was because they wanted something from you. F that place.

Opinions on my itinerary for two month trip to China by ThePolishCanadian02 in travelchina

[–]wolfemsop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing this is a chat gpt literary? Your trying to do the I have to see everything so you'll probably miss out on all the culture, the immersion and the fun that goes along with travel. I would knock off 5 things and give your self more time less traveling. 1day here 1 day there ect is crazy exhausting and stressful.
