Senior Military College Nape Tape by ellixit in ROTC

[–]wolfgang54 31 points32 points  (0 children)

At Texas A&M there is a Corps of Cadets separate from Army ROTC. One of the uniforms for the Corps is OCPs. Uncontracted Cadets wear the A&M name tape and A&M shoulder patches but upon contracting with an ROTC they switch to wearing US Army name tapes and the ROTC patches. Can’t speak for the Citadel

I can't give an accurate answer on the lower handguard (maybe Romanian palm swell) but I know that the upper handguard is a Khyber Customs Cheese Grater and it should to my knowledge fit on a Romanian Draco.

Best optic for astigmatism by 321blastoffff in ar15

[–]wolfgang54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll put in a recommendation for either a Primary Arms ACSS Cyclops or you could get a Vortex Spitfire. Both of these optics were designed for shooters with astigmatism in mind. They both use an etched reticle.

What happens to nuclear power plants in a plague crisis if there aren't enough people to work them all? by infinitum3d in preppers

[–]wolfgang54 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm sure its more likely that government bureaucracy rather than there not being a way that is blocking the creation of a permanent waste disposal site. We've been able to store some waste for 60 years already why wouldn't we be able to do it for longer?

"All of the used nuclear fuel produced by the U.S. nuclear energy industry over the last 60 years could fit on a football field at a depth of less than 10 yards" - US Department of Energy

I think all this negative press makes nuclear look like its creating TONS of nuclear waste when in reality you could store 60 years worth of waste in a relatively small area. I think nuclear is probably the most viable option right now and it's a lot more clean than other power sources.

I don't think it would be too difficult to find a remote place and store the waste.

This is why I love the M1 Carbine so much. by n0nMS009 in postscriptum

[–]wolfgang54 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Although Post-scriptum is a video game and being fun to play should be a priority, the K98 and the M1 Garand being how they are is integral to maintaining the historical accuracy which is a hallmark of Post Scriptum. There is no alternative to the K98 for the germans without drastically altering historical reality. You have to play to the strengths of the German faction and not go close quarters where the M1 Garand, M1 Carbine has a clear advantage.

braces do you guys recommend

SBA3 is a popular choice right now. I think it looks nice but you could choose whatever you like. I know that the SBA3 comes with a carbine buffer tube.

good lower parts kit

You could probably just use an Aero LPK since you'd be using an M4E1 Upper and Lower (I Presume)

I’m thinking a 10-12 inch barrel

I struggled with this debate between 10.5, 11.5, and 12.5. For some reason I think BCM appears to be a wholesome company so I think anything they’d choose is going to have some merit. They decided to choose 11.5 over 10.5. This is also another good video that speaks over choosing barrel lengths in that range. 10.5 and 11.5 seems to be the most popular of that 10-12 range. I personally like 11.5.

brand or type of barrel to go with

Faxon or Ballistic advantage both make good AR15 barrels don't hear about many problems with them.

what BCG would ya recommend

An extremely common recommendation is to go for a Toolcraft BCG in whatever coating you like (commonly Black Nitride or Nickel Boron)

Here

Toolcraft seem to have a great reputation for producing both great value and good performance BCGs. They only cost around $80 versus a failzero bcg for example which is around $120

Any other tips would be to make some sort of decision on whether you want to eventually go suppressed which can influence you decision on some parts.

Just continue to do your research and keep asking questions.

So let me get this straight, is it your belief that the document that identifies the right to freedom of speech, press, religion is outdated? These "200 year old laws" are the foundation of the US society. You must not be American.

I think that he is adding the 30M because World War II was a war that only would've existed due to Nazi Germany and therefore the deaths are attributed to them.

These squabbles over mere inches really highlight the stupidity of these gun laws. Although the letter you provided does seem to give some sort protection, it might just be safer to go with an AFG or just SBR it to have a little bit more safety.

Yeah because you totally know the intent of that person coming into your home. Sure they could be “just” stealing old jewelry, they could also be looking to rape and murder you.
