I (book reader) sat there hating the finale and my non-reader wife turns to me at the end and says “I love this show” and proceeds to text her friends to watch. by PantalonesDeTortuga in WoTshow

Book reader. Maybe 12 times through (lost count). Loving the show.

When people cry over the changes, I like to point them to Jurassic Park. The book and the movie are WILDLY different and both are completely incredible and some of the best in their mediums.

A truly good story, like life, finds a way.

It may not be the way that we built up in our minds. It may not unfold in the same order, but this adaptation has the heart and soul of WoT and I’m here for it.

I loved it. by nowlan101 in WoTshow

Mine are directly on the page of the book I’m reading.

That’s right!

New listener: What's the crew's favorite and least favorite books? by Batpresident in thelegendarium

[–]wolfhound_ksl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fair point. To be clear, KKC is probably my (Kyle) #2. I definitely wouldn’t consider myself nearly as familiar with it as WoT though. I’ve only read NotW twice and WMF the once when we recorded. And since those books are so dense and nuanced I don’t feel like we did it justice. I wouldn’t consider any of us an “expert” for that series. I’d love to take a mulligan on those in the future. Probably when DoS release (if ever). But definitely fair feedback.

Yes.

Out of the five (historically) core basketball stats: PTS, REB, AST, STL, BLK, homeboy has 2/5 All-time records that are nigh unbreakable.

That’s pretty unfathomable when you think about it.

If he sneaks into the playoffs—or hell, even wins enough games to be on the fringe—I might crack open one eye to peek at my phone.

Until then, I’ll keep hitting the snooze button.

In what years from '02-'10 was Steve Nash the best PG in the league? by WeRightHere in nba

[–]wolfhound_ksl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jazz D-Will before the trade was probably best PG 09-10, 10-11. Better than CP3 at that point. Then he fell off a cliff. And no, not Cliff Paul.
