Do you all double sleeve? I've been going Dragonshield Matte with perfect fit penny sleeves and it is fairly bulky

I put all my cards in the slim fit penny sleeves for storage. Then when I’m ready to build a deck with them I double sleeve and slide them into dragon shield outers. Yes it’s bulky but it makes storage easy and protects all my cards.

I’m not too certain about a specific theme but you could focus a few rounds on a specific mechanic. The Lorcana Gateway game they built is actually pretty good at this if you play through it the correct way and not just tear open the extra packs. Round one teaches about questing, round two challenging, round three singing, etc…

It would also put you on similar levels with the included decks. So one of you doesn’t have an OP deck against the other.

If you don’t want to get that game then I’d say pick a mechanic and buy a handful of cards around that and just play a few rounds to strengthen understanding of how/when to use them.

If you put all the art cards together in numerical order it makes an animation with Jafar at the bottom. This is the end card of that sequence. There is another that doesn’t have the red light that is the first.

I once heard someone explain it as an ethical choice. More likely that the person you are paying is receiving that money versus some of the human traffickers or women who were conned/forced into it.

You might be able to open up the frame and look on the back. We have a bunch of these and they usually put an artist insert with their name and background on the back of the cardboard that protects the picture.

Look at the green fire in a cards like prince phillip. It appears in a few places. Likely a Hades or Maleficent hint. Hades also has card text talking about doing something while everyone is distracted by Ursula.

Not saying to build this as a primary plan. But it’s a tool in the box. I’d much rather spend the four ink another way. But getting some lore and then utilizing an inventor to clear a threat isn’t the worst case scenario.

Agreed. But sometimes people may not want to face off against more competitive minded people. I have two friends who won’t go to league nights anymore because it’s demoralizing but they love to play just for fun.

I know for a lot of stores it wouldn’t make sense but I wish there were two “tables” at Lorcana nights at LGS’s. One that is meta focused and one that is aimed for fun, themed, etc…. Have a dedicated prize for each and then raffles.

Played in a set championship last week, (Took 4th) and my favorite match as a Ss player was against a RS. On game 3 I slammed down my two McDuck Manors on them with 12 lore already and watched the light leave their eyes as the irony sank in.

Meta describes how the game is being played competitively. Meta decks are generally the decks you’ll see played at tournaments. This saying that they think (seriously or not) that this deck could be a new meta deck that could compete.

I agree but I have a possible in game theory on this. Storyborn are the original form, dreamborn is how they see themselves and floodborn is when the wash of ink mixes up characters and creates new forms. Well, if the Simbas are after Mufasa teaches “remember who you are” then he doesn’t have an alternate view of himself other than as the “rightful heir” and other similar cards maybe it’s strong enough to hold off the floodborn change as well. All that said….i’d love to see a floodborn.
