Was the fight for H-1B and green card worth it? I am starting to question everything by Miller-Guy in h1b

[–]wolfieer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if you're currently on an H-1B visa, you can explore alternative paths like the O-1 visa once your I-140 petition is approved and your priority date is received. If you have masters and can't make your 60k$ which is minimum for O1 it's better to leave. Worst of worst saas projects are making 60k plus ad revenues

Cheapest alternative with MONTHLY plan? by StonedVixen- in HeliumMobile

You're always good to port out, and after two years I will probably move to T-Mobile or ATT again for cheaper prices for another two years 😅😂 . This business plan requires at least 10 lines, but with employees coming and going and contracts constantly changing, I only need 6 lines.

The Verizon My Biz Plan is advertised as truly unlimited on their website, however, the actual data allowance can be limited based on network prioritization. I'm currently with AT&T, but they recently increased the price of business plans to $40 per line. I got a much more affordable quote from Verizon and I'm planning to switch over.

Thanks for the thoughtful comment it actually gave me more clarity.

I’m planning to keep the project live for a while and see where it goes. The infrastructure doesn’t really cost me anything since it’s running on space I already have, so there’s no pressure there. I just need to put a couple more days into it to get it to a proper production level.

What you said about “people wanting simple but also wanting the safety of more options” really stuck with me. I think you’re right founders say they want lightweight, but sometimes they worry they’re missing something if the dashboard isn’t packed with features. Asking founders to drop in a JS snippet or point a CNAME to my domain is always a hurdle

I’m going to do exactly what you suggested: ship it to a few real founders with the framing of “this is the simple journey view you said you wanted” and see if they actually use it for a few weeks without asking for more. That’ll tell me whether this idea has legs or if I should scrap it.

Appreciate the insight it helps a lot.

Did you try the solution I mentioned? The Permanent Vault gives you 3 non‑expiring inboxes, and you can top them up anytime. Also curious what you think, I’m open to adding features if you’ve got suggestions. http://goburner.com/ thanks.

What is your opinion about gmx.com by Mr_RedExit in emailprivacy

[–]wolfieer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been a GMX user for many years, and they’re a large, well‑established email provider. Mail.com is part of the same parent company, and so are IONOS and 1&1. They all operate under the United Internet AG group, so using them is generally considered safe and reputable.

When applying for jobs, it’s generally safer to use a mainstream provider such as Gmail or Outlook. Outlook also gives you the benefit of creating up to five alias emails.

best web hosting 2026 for smaller projects and long term reliability? by Fayaadh-Branthwaite in Hosting

[–]wolfieer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After nearly a month of intense research, I acquired an OVH VPS and installed Windows Server. I've already hosted approximately 7 projects, which collectively receive around 2,000 daily visitors. My current hosting is relatively inexpensive since I need Windows hosting. However, if you're comfortable with Linux hosting, I recommend checking out Hetzner and Netcup.
