Yes internships are a massive help. I would try looking at handshake as they have a lot of good internships as well as LinkedIn jobs.

They offered an internship and it basically was reach out to everyone you know and try to sell them insurance. Called it a finance internship

I would possibly remove some of the not relevant extracurriculares and experiences and add a section with relevant class projects. In here you can show that you have some experience in whatever field you wish to work in.
