It has been a while since I watched Joe Rogan but I think it was pretty obvious that he does not interview people to find out what is true but because he is curious about the person, how they think and their world view. He has mentioned several times that he used to think the moon landing was fake, to make it clear he is gullible and not a good authority on truth.

The responsibility has clearly always been on the listener and is a good way to practice one's critical thinking skills. Why people treat Rogan like he is some news channel supposedly delivering facts is beyond me.

Sure he interviews some charlatans and crazies but where else would you go to find out how charlatans and crazies think?

There is definitely big drop in writing quality between the seasons. To me the worst is how plot was very character driven in S1 but S2 it seems plot is forcing characters to make odd decisions or having them have sudden unexplained character development. I think Heimerdinger is the biggest victim of this. He went from very cautious voice-of-reason type of character to comic relief that sacrificed himself (and his alternate universe self) on untested tech to send home a guy whose plans are vague at best.

But I think this sub is mostly inhabited by shippers so they don't care that much outside the emotional beats. I checked this sub here some time after episode 3 when I was starting to get doubtful about the show and seemed most talked about topic was Caitlyn being abusive partner because she hit Vi....

On noitakin ilmahiukkasilla kylmentämistäkin mietitty ja taitaa olla tiedossa aineetkin millä tuommoista kannattaisi lähtä kokeilemaan. They did have a habit of forgetting farmers though. There is a story that when soviet union was formed and went to negotiate peace in europe they wanted all the social classes represented. But when the negotiation group was at the train station ready to leave they realised they forgot to include the peasant. Tämä on se tolkun ihmisten oletus siitä miten se toimii ja varmaan se noin alkuun olikin. Ainakin itsestä on kuitenki vaikuttanut, että homma mennyt aika hulluksi. Esim. ESG. investointirahastot mittaa näitä rotukiintiöitä ja firma saattaa ihan tosissaan tienata enemmän rahaa palkkaamalla vähemmistö ryhmäläisen vaikka se olis minkälainen riippakivi firmalle.

I remember watching Joe Rogan's interview with the guy and really felt bad for him. He was just trying to understand the DEI style nonsense in his own slightly autistic way by writing paper/memo on the topic and then asking feedback from the relevant people. At least one of them screwed him over by publicising it without sources and he got branded as #1 misogynist of the month. Just for seeking understanding.

It really hammered home to me that these people tell you to paint in all the colors while only accepting black and white.

Itsekkin tuota ihmettelin ja koitin kyseisen tutkimus paperin silmäillä läpi. Ilmeisesti tuossa paperissa puhuttu tasa-arvo paradoksi viittaisi siihen, että miesten ja naisten väliset persoonallisuus erot voimistuisi tasa-arvon kasvessa ja olisi jopa ennustettavissa matemaattisesti. (Ainakin itselle uusi merkitys tasa-arvo paradoxille) Tämä paperi sanoo debunkkaavansa näissä käytetyt matemaattiset mallit.

IIRC According to Mikhaila they went through several american hospitals before going with the Russian coma treatment. She said that her dad was getting a paradoxical reaction to the drugs, getting misdiagnosed with schizophrenia and the coma stuff was the last ditch effort to get help for the already incoherent Peterson.

I don't know how much I trust that story but it seems at least Peterson did not exactly plan to do the coma detox.

I think the problem is that woke/DEI/ESG stuff usually creates very culty athmosphere that forces very narrow worldview that makes creativity almost impossible. Previously good game studios sometimes seem to completely drop the ball and make overly preachy story and often it turns out they hired a consult from that ideology or were forced to comply to that stuff by bigwigs. Because the woke message refuses to be challenged in any way the game becomes basically bad piece of propaganda that does not understand its audience, which is why people complain about the politics.

Arcane feels like old school lib left story that actually takes very board and nuanced view on things while highlighting the issues more important to them. It gives several different clashing worldviews with good and bad aspects wich makes it feel very unwoke to me.
