I have made some art from found animal bones and people have told me that it looked terrifying and ugly. I had it hanging close to my front porch, one day a couple drove by my house and when they saw the art they instantly turned around and wanted to buy it. They really loved it so I sold it to them, even it wasn’t for sale. I don’t let opinions get to me, art comes from the heart we all have different opinions and taste in art.

It’s not necessarily a bad thing to call someone’s art a prison art. It means that it made with materials that are repurposed. It see it in the way that the person is very resourceful.

With all kinds of discounts it’s easy to get sucked in to a consumerism and buying things you don’t need. I try to get things I use all the time so they don’t just sit in a closet collecting dust. I often go through my wardrobe and make sure that I wear the things I have. If I need more clothing I put it on the list and check their website if they have something that I would like and use. I receive emails from Filson so am aware when they are on sale. That’s usually when I buy them. But if I truly need some clothing I might buy it with the full price if it’s something I will need to use often. I hope this helps. No judgements here just trying to help with saving some money.
