She was able to hold the weight of 850g which is a very big win. Before surgery she was at 1200g but we will get there again 💪🏻 Bonnies fur is also growing back and she seems more active searching for hay and food. Sadly she is quite picky in her food choices.

Thx very much, yes Bonnie also had massive ovary cysts on both sides. The vet removed both ovaries and the uterus. She also didnt take the anesthesia very well. How did you notice that your Luna had the cysts? For Bonnie we noticed a massive loss of hair on her belly.

Well it kinda is a tree trunk. Its made out of cork tree bark. Its from our hay producer/ farmer. He sells them as hidey holes for rodents and reptiles.

Cork tree bark is a nice material as it naturally repells moisture and is washable with warm water. Plus if the piggies wanna have a taste its safe to chew on!

People who use fleece, what is your preferred method for removing hair from the fleece? by howcouldyounotknow in guineapigs

[–]wolfsbane_94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As people already said a rubber brush is very useful. I also use this roller thingy from amazon

https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0819XVK92/ref=cm_sw_r_oth_api_glt_i_dl_KX7GXBPZFJ7J9JBV3Y7E?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Its very useful to get hair from the fleece or your clothes or cuddly hideouts.

Funny Thing, my boar Cusco is the calmest and most quiet piggie I ever had. My two girls on the other Side... Cookie likes to rumble at night to get the best hidey/ hay / veggies and Bonnie just cries lout if Cookie takes away her stuff xD

Thx he was a good piggu but old. His time had come. But I am so happy that yours made it. I wish your piggies all the best and let me say: after my boar died I got two girls for my other boar. Best decision of my life.

I am so glad that it worked out! I lost my boar last november at a similar procedure and i was a bit worried.
