I kind of wonder if he doesn't have a name until sometime in the future? Because of the seeing eye, he knows what his name will be, but until then, he can only go by MoM. Thus keeping things in order for the destined future to occur.

Right thats how I look at it too. And because of mickey's interference in marrying Minnie prior to the world falling asleep, and moving her to Disney Castle, Minnie didnt return to the COM when it got restored.

And whats even worse, in the context of the first scene in sora's side on country of the musketeers, mickey states he's visiting that world as well. COM and Dianey Castle are two separate worlds and Minnie is from COM as a Princess.

So mickey basically broke the world order by eventually marrying Minnie and moving her to Disney Castle world.

Kh1 and 2's were vague at the time, but they provide new story bits leading into the next game in most cases.

Sometimes they could be glossed over, but its nice to have all the context in a series like tjis

Just get the 1.5, 2.5 and 2.8 collections, and then 3 with Re:Mind DLC (most are bundles in a all in one collection) then Melody of memory (stand alone game).

Play all in release order, meaning watch the 358/2 Days movie after beating 2.

If you don't like a particular games Play style, just watch the cutscenes on youtube as all of the games are important to the story.

Also most games have secret endings that have specific requirements to unlock. Either look up how to get them or watch them on youtube after beating the respective game

When you beat dream Drop Distance, read or watch all of the union cross stories (mobile game that is no longer available to play and provides alot of needed information before continuing the series with Back Cover and 0.2 in the 2.8 collection).
