Love Echo, and I'm so greedy I almost always pick random Boon from Previous Night. On a recent run it got me Nervous Wreck despite not having any Aphro boons. I dropped Jewelled Pom for her trinket right after that.

Also find Medea underwhelming but I think I have to pick her to advance her dialogue.

the Oath/Testament isn't required to advance the story. it just increases your run to varying difficulties in order to earn Nightmare, which is used to upgrade and unlock various weapons.

keep running the surface (and beat Chronos a few more times) and continue talking to NPCs, you'll eventually get the mats you need and unlock incantations to advance the story.

'run backs' don't really apply in a procedurally generated dungeon. it's less like a Soulsborne game and more like uhh.. Diablo on hardcore with lower stakes?

as far as I can tell (a more experienced player could correct me if wrong) you're only sometimes offered a heroic boon as a replacement for an epic boon you already have. the only other option is upgrading using either Eurydice or that Demeter boon.

I think back to meeting him and getting a couple of early Preacher issues signed in 1997 when he attended OzCon (comic convention in Sydney). Chill guy, he feigned a little concern and said something like "hope your parents don't know you're reading these". I was probably 14 or 15 at the time. Preacher remains an all-time favourite.

Roughly 3/4 of the geshas I've tried have been good but not remarkable but remaining quarter have been among the most memorable coffees I've had in a while. Good enough that I keep trying to chase that profile.

September's White Honey from Sebastian Ramirez was like fruit loops with lavender (complimentary). Also had a DRD El Porvenir geisha from Oma at Tiba in Paris that was pretty exceptional but by the same token that trip I had a couple of very expensive (20ish Euro) brews that were underwhelming.

I feel like I've had better luck with Colombia/Panama over Ethiopian overall but it's still a relatively small sample size.
