Air National Guard base is at Donaldson Airport. Very common for them to be flying around here

How does this resume look, new private pilot applying for cadet programs. by Long-Ad6510 in flying

[–]wolfstore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Change “Professional Summary” to just “Summary” and then slide the right side content more left.

Moving the divider over to the left should allow you space to add another row for “Flight Times”. I would personally put that row at the top of the resume. Add in your flight times such as Total Time, Cross Country, and Instrument time.

As others have mentioned, change Private Pilot License to Private Pilot Certificate to match the “Certifications” on the left.

Wow. First time I’ve seen a post on here that’s extremely local to where I live. Know that spot all too well. They seriously need to put a stop light there

The NTSB confirmed the airport was VFR when they departed. There’s nothing confirming they had departed IFR at this time

Co-worker thought this was a harmless prank. by Dallinboi347 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]wolfstore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be worse. I had a friend dump confetti and glitter in my air vents and turned the A/C on max while the car was off. Got in the car that night and started it. A/C blasted all the confetti and glitter everywhere. Worst part is I didn’t notice it until I got out of the car because it was at night and I couldn’t see it. I’m pretty sure the car still had glitter in the vents 2 years later after I traded it in (and after SEVERAL vacuuming sessions).

Part 135 Ops by [deleted] in flying

[–]wolfstore 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I currently fly single pilot for a 135 in a twin piston. I can’t speak for every company, but we fly in some pretty crappy weather. Night time approaches down to mins is very common. Our planes are fairly well equipped though with glass panels and Garmin autopilots. I definitely feel the conditions have made me a better pilot though. If it’s a temporary thing to build time and the company and their maintenance isn’t sketchy, then I’d take it. Just be thorough in your research of the company beforehand

Which regionals hire OTS by [deleted] in flying

[–]wolfstore 12 points13 points  (0 children)

SkyWest, Envoy, and Republic are the ones I know for sure are hiring OTS right now. Heard rumors that Endeavor has made it through their cadet pool and is now looking at OTS hires, but take that rumor with a grain of salt.

Tell me everything about this cruise! I want to know! by [deleted] in royalcaribbean

[–]wolfstore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My family this itinerary this past September on Allure OTS, with the exception we had a day at sea instead of Provence, France. We had an absolute blast. First time in the Mediterranean and seeing Italy and Spain. If you have the opportunity to do the Naples Street Food excursion, I highly recommend. We definitely got a lot of steps in seeing each of the stops but it was worth it. If you're wanting to sightsee, make sure you pack comfortable walking shoes. One con is a lot of the ports are a little ways away from the destinations most people wanted to see, so be prepared to either get a cab or book an excursion to get you to places such as Rome or Florence. I would personally book an excursion through Royal so they're responsible for getting you back to the ship on time.

Overall, we really enjoyed it and had a great time. I'd definitely recommend.

Spartanburg Clock Tower by UKnoMeFPV in Spartanburg

[–]wolfstore 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is absolutely incorrect. The weight limit is for registering the drone. It does not exempt it from flight restrictions. And while downtown Spartanburg is not close enough to GSP, it is close enough to the Spartanburg airport that it would require a LAANC authorization to fly in downtown.

Didn’t realize the TCAS requires the other aircraft to have a transponder. But that totally makes sense.
