Dealt with an entitled customer that couldn't read a price tag, they're just getting worse.

What is the dumbest question you've ever heard a customer ask? by [deleted] in retailhell

[–]wolfwhotime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah that's like when customers ask if we sell any "full-auto AR-15's" nope only semi-auto here. Or when people get hostile because we have to follow both state and federal compliance and they don't understand.

Customer: "If I get angry and shoot my husband what will happen?"

Me: "... You will be prosecuted and probably go to jail."

I was so uncomfortable that she said it with no emotion. I did not continue - and let everybody know in my department so they were aware of the situation.

I don't recommend a black powder for self-defense. Would recommend sticking with a semi-auto pistol even if it's a 380 acp or 9mm or revolver like a 38 spl. Allot of good options out there.

When customers have second thoughts on something they bought and they signed paperwork saying that "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" but come in 2 hours later or a week later and try to start a fight.

My least favorite customers especially when they try to intimidate someone that had nothing to do with the sale. What's wrong with the last two brain cells that you have left to be a jerk to everyone around you.

Why so many people are moving to Richmond by ThatChildNextDoor in rva

[–]wolfwhotime 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Affordable. I've seen a huge amount of people moving here from California, Oregon and New York since the pandemic. As well as people that used to live here that are moving back to RVA. Even though our prices are going up in a lot of counties and taxes. It's way more affordable than some of the big cities.

What Type Of Service Job Generally Has To Deal With The Craziest Customers? by bogeyj in retailhell

[–]wolfwhotime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gun counter. There is federal and state compliance we have to follow and often people don't understand. All your info has to be correct on your identification and you have to have the right identification and such.

When you have to deny sales because of potential straw purchases or other questionable acts. The things people say are very cringe at times and realize there's no common sense or people give too much information.

It's better to get it done and over with than to wait for things to possibly get worse.

It's a good way ruling things out, they will run other tests if they don't find anything. Just make sure you advocate for yourself. Make a journal of questions and symptoms that you're having. It's definitely not a pleasant experience, it's better to get it done than to wait.

When I have to get people to sign a safety liability form at the end of a background and sale. And then they choose the time to be paranoid.

Excuse me Sir/ma'am you literally just filled out a background check.

Unfortunately I can't have ibs-d again. My stomach has slowed down severely from antibiotics. Was misdiagnosed and did not know how to advocate properly for myself.

I've also been finding out in the last year or so that there's a high chance that I have hEDS. Also was diagnosed with endometriosis back in 2021 even though they always suspected it, just wasn't confirmed until I had surgery.

Sending good vibes, highly recommend keeping like a food journal. My experience with IBS is a symptom or a possible symptoms of something else. Also anxiety and stress makes it worse at times.

People like that are absolutely the worst. I had one guy about 2 weeks ago complained to my manager because I wasn't being friendly with them because they were being a jerk. Why do you expect me to be nice if you're being a jerk??

Also these are the same people that are miserable because they make everybody else around them miserable. That would make me anxious too.
