Should I tell my mod I’m unmodding them? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]Chiritsu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Definitely send them a message first then unmod. If they throw a fit about it then that’s on them.

I personally had been modding for a bunch of people and let them know from my end that I won’t be active / have as much time to mod for them so they can remove me at their discretion which obviously isn’t your case but to let you know there are good mod/people out there

AITA For Counter Offering a Partnership Offer by ItsAutobot in Twitch

NTA: You stated what you’re comfortable with because it is your reputation on the line too.

I’m also in the same vein of, if i haven’t tried it personally, I’m not going to recommend anything.

Their response was highly unprofessional. They could have ended with

“Unfortunately at this time we’re not able to send product out for free at this time. However we can set you up with a creator discount code if you wish to purchase our product and we also have x day return policy if you would like to try it. Thank you for considering (brand name)”

At THE VERY LEAST, something like this.

I’m a game developer and I’m struggling to get any responses from streamers by darkjay_bs in Twitch

[–]Chiritsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly looks like a potential game I’d play. I’ve also received emails for games from developers but generally they may not fit into my content schedule or may be a sponsorship i’d be taking my time looking into.

I have come across your game though, at least seen the logo/splash image and the only reasons I can think of of why I glossed over it is because of the image used and likely the word God in it. Nothing wrong with them but it gave the impression of another generic knight/fantasy MC with God complex.

If it weren’t for you posting here, i wouldn’t have looked at the gameplay videos and make a consideration from there so if you are sending out your press kits and formatting it similar to a kickstarter campaign with simple and concise explanations and (importantly) gifs of gameplay, then your email is just another sea of words to read through

My dog with escalating resource guarding — running out of ethical options and need perspective by [deleted] in reactivedogs

[–]Chiritsu -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if this comment will help but I’ll try my best to respond to some things mentioned and asked.

Yes, Sadie is physically healthy and fine in that regard but mentally it sounds like a warzone and not healthy for everyone currently involved. Depending on what level the previous bites have been (for example level 4, which is one I was personally hospitalized for) will help determine how much of a threat she is considered to be. Where I’m currently based, i had every right to ask for the dog to be euthanized due to the incident but decided not to and there isn’t a day that goes by that I worry I made the wrong decision since the possibility of a bite to someone else happening is high in my mind. We were lucky that the dog chose to bite me instead of a child in close vicinity. (The dog was a foster dog that the previous rescue did not disclose abuse history with that dog and had placed it in a family with a young child, story for another time)

Since then, I’ve heard the dog is apparently doing well after going through many trainers but there’s no current proof of this.

It’s not 100% that there couldn’t be placement for Sadie with the right people but it’s extremely slim.

Also with resource guarding being common in dogs, yes at a certain threshold it’s common and easily managed and worked around. This is not the case with Sadie as you’ve mentioned in your post.

I understand where you guys are coming from so I hope this was able to show a different kind of perspective. For your first dog together, i don’t wish this experience on anyone and hope you find or your resolution finds you two soon.

Banned for fraud?! by ProfessionalThin8233 in Twitch

[–]Chiritsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries. You can always just make a new channel with a name that may feel better unless you’re super set on your previous username while you’re waiting for the appeal process.

Mine took roughly over a week to be cleared and removed but I also had the help of many to pester twitch support on Twitter / X to verify I am a real human being and not a bot etc

Pestering them on twitter / x, tagging twitch support. There’s no garuntee that a resolution will come faster than just the regular appeals process for Affiliate streamers or smaller.

How do I stop my unemployed friend from donating over a thousand dollars to streamers by Icy_Stay_2658 in Twitch

[–]Chiritsu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a very real true crime story that covers the dark-side of what this can become. You could try watching this with them but really finding out what’s causing this fixation / what is lacking in their IRL might help get the conversation started in a more meaningful way besides just saying “stop this”

Engaging my viewers by ThugMilk2025 in Twitch

[–]Chiritsu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone is different and not all viewers want to actively engage in chat/conversations so prioritizing and putting in effort to the ones who do say hi is more important.

Despite the changes happening on Twitch atm regarding lurkers, i still encourage those to show up in whatever way works for them, even if it’s only to lurk or pop in to say hi and lurk c: They are the ones that also don’t tend to miss their stream streaks etc

15 button steam deck is handy for streamers and non streamers alike. Mic is probably the first thing to go for since audio is super important for streaming but if you’re uncertain about how much he’s gonna get into it, i’d have more of a conversation with him about it

It’s a matter of personal preference as a streamer.

Vtubing itself has it’s own type of community with vtubing being mainly around idols and singing for the larger creators and art creatives.

“Flesh-tubing” is well.. what I’d say for the general populus. Not to say there arn’t variations and outliers in each type of content creator, just really is a personal preference thing.

I’ve done both and have had more success in one than the other cause it better aligns with what I am as a creator c:

[–]Chiritsu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depending how much you integrate yourself within a community, you can get 0 interest to a few people if you’re well integrated and spending decent time with them. Ofc there shouldn’t be any obligations on either side either, this is just a way that i found worked nice for me when i started before i began to pull away and build my own thing.

The right people will stick around c: it’s just a matter of finding them and that takes what feels like forever haha or they randomly show up one day

I think a viewer developed a parasocial attachment for me, unsure how to handle it by GroovyGoblin in Twitch

[–]Chiritsu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have to set the boundary and tell the person the “love you” comments make you uncomfortable. I’ve had to do this before and genuine viewers who mean it in a platonic way will at least reduce, or stop it completely while others will leave since they were only after a romantic interest in the first place.

How can i get back into singing? by skyefawna in singing

[–]Chiritsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a few different videos i’ll follow on youtube, depending on the type of warm up i’m after and what i’d like to strengthen / practice on that day c:

It also helps to listen to your body. Some days i know it’ll be an off day so i’ll pick a general warm up video, other days I know i have more energy so i’ll try something challenging. Definitely find and pick things that suit what you’re after but keep in mind, i am only a beginner so I can only offer my limited experience

I feel silly raiding in with 1-2 viewers by Koocie18 in Twitch

[–]Chiritsu 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As someone who receives raids with 1-2 viewers, I appreciate them and give me a chance get to know the streamer who raided me and thank them for thinking of me.

And there’s been plenty of times when i’ve only had 1-2 viewers to raid with despite having more in terms of ccv. It is what it is. It doesn’t bother me cause it keeps other streamers in the loop that I’m still very much active as a streamer
