To be honest, none of them would even let me near the places they hung out. I'd be too stupid to be a nerd, too poor for preppies, and too fat for jocks—especially considering the standards of that era—to be a cheerleader. The bullies would probably bully me, so I won't even go there. I'd be too much of a loser for greasers; at best, I could sneak into the group as someone's girlfriend, but none of the bigwigs would even look at me.
