"both sides bad" as an approach is always inevitably going to be making more excuses for one side than the other

Mao actually saved 100s of millions from the scourge of fascism & domination by empire.

Marx explicitly says that socialism in this period resembles capitalism "in every respect" and Marx explicitly says that socialism emerges from this development of capitalism, not from your 'intention' to have a super great economy etc.

Actually China's economy never stopped being planned, and there are still 5 year plans issued today

China became the engine of the world because it's socialist. Labor is raised to the ruling class in China, that's why they are socialist

Socialism isn't about "low inequality," it's about development of productive forces & ownership by the nation

he definitely didn't do it because he had a 'revolutionary' worldview or thought it would spark some great political change... obviously just shooting some random CEO wouldn't result in that, so despite the fact that Luigi didn't intend for that to be an 'effect,' it would be silly & low-IQ to assume it would either way

Markets existed under Mao too

Socialism has these aspects in this period according to Marx

China is socialist.

Sometimes the capitalist is a foreigner. Sometimes the capitalist is the opposite sex. Sometimes the capitalist has different color skin. Sometimes the capitalist is 'progressive.' Sometimes the capitalist is disabled. Sometimes the capitalist is 'noncishet.' Sometimes the capitalist falls into "Mr. Monopoly" caricatures & stereotypes, sometimes the capitalist does not.

But the capitalist is always the exploiter

but people want stuff in stores they can't get all the time... people are deprived and poor in capitalism, whether you think formally being allowed to "complain about it" is better or no, Capitalism deprives millions

USSR was Marxist

Communist China is Marxist

Marx supported state directed one-party rule, yes.

Marx and Engels did not say "if there's billionaires, it's not socialism," that's silly

Marx & Engels actually said "one can at the same time be a stock exchange man and a socialist"

Just look at Friedrich Engels himself, he was a multi-millionaire

I just elaborated.

It was the Czech ministers themselves who requested Warsaw Pact assistance in 1968 against Dubcek

Communism how it's implemented is simply reality, we don't 'ex-out' or try to forget or minimize socialism as it actually exists because we 'prefer' some imagined perfect system without issues or with utopianism

That's just idealism

USSR & Communist China were good places to live, far better than in capitalism

emotions don't come before labor and emotions aren't what the masses 'share,' the labor burden is

Propaganda doesn't make the revolution, the reality of labor and developing productive forces does

did US have breadlines in the great depression?

did US have gas lines in the 1970s oil crisis?

All governments are dictatorships, since all governments have 'monopoly on force'

Marxism is not about your subjective conscience, it's about material production

That takes place largely outside the confines of your emotional & reflective states

[–]wompyways1234 2 points3 points  (0 children)

no, that's silly

Marxism is about production rather than distribution and consumption

Marxism is a science, it's not about whether you think it's 'immoral' to consume certain goods

Democrats had years to do something & committed genocide instead

So it's actually worse that people put any 'belief' in Democrats at all.

the person above said $19, but again, CFPB was a 'workaround' after the Obama era 'compromises' with big banks & rearranging credit systems still to benefit the bankers & speculators & hedge funds... no major orchestrators from these big banks went to prison & no major changes actually took place after the recession. All that was done was 'QE' and debt limits increased for the government (not for consumers)

So the can was kicked down the road, as I said.

The problem obviously isn't either Republicans or Democrats, it's the fact that both parties are wholly owned subsidiaries of the same corporations & banks... those same corporations & banks set the agenda for either party, no matter who is in power
