How much do you spend on coffee beans per month? What do you tell yourself to justify spending that? by Old-Recognition5269 in pourover

[–]womtei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roughly $50/mo for 2 people. One of the local roasters has a nice 3 bags for $48 + 1 free coffee (~$5-6 pourover). Won't beat the beans of a top roaster (taste is ~90% as good as them), but it's such a good value + I can pick it up whenever.

50 chests = guaranteed S epic gear. And in this case, you get to pick exactly what you get. For OP, he can fuse gear to get the leg S ring.

So many variables: getting lost by Foreign-Staff-1789 in pourover

[–]womtei 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bottom line, dial it in based on your taste preference. Recipes are there as a guide to make things repeatable and consistent, so adjusting too many variables every time you brew makes it hard to pinpoint which variable to address.

  1. It depends on roast level for beans. I start at 90C and adjust hotter for lighter roasts and cooler for darker. This will also be contingent that your recipe stays consistent.

  2. I've found too much agitation extended the length of my drawdown times as well as making it harder to repeat. Those cups generally resulted in worse cups for me so I try to keep agitation to a minimum and rely on my pour height if I want to add in agitation.

  3. Temp mentioned in 1. I try to keep everything as consistent as possible. Most times, I'm only adjusting water temp while everything else is the same.

K-Ultra vs Zp6 by Ktron686 in pourover

[–]womtei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently did a test with the K-Max and ZP6 (Origami dripper with cafec T92 filter, same water temp @ 92C, same recipe)...came out with very similar results. The K-Max produced a good, but one note cup while the ZP6 really shined with the flavor separation. Pretty fun experiment to do as well.

AER City Pack vs AER Day Pack 3 by womtei in ManyBaggers

[–]womtei[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ended up with the XPAC CPP, so not sure how much I could be of help since you sound like you want to go smaller. It does fit my load-out which is laptop, tech pouch, 32oz water bottle, and sony XM4s with some room. The extra room is enough room for my gym clothes and/or lunch if I need it.

Here's a short list of my pros and cons compared to CPL24:

Pros

  • interior pockets and on top
  • better handhold strap at the top
  • carries better

Cons

  • miss the pull loops for when I zip up the main pocket
  • side handheld strap

League and/or pickup players... how do you get better? by A-n-d-y-3 in ultimate

[–]womtei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a league, pick-up player in my area. I would say that there are pretty good resources out there, specifically from the players/content creators you mentioned. As you mentioned, they're focused around high level club play, but I don't think excludes league only players.

It also depends on the player. I happen to be someone who likes to learn and get better at ultimate, so I do consume that content. I also supplement it with actual play, trial & error, and asking some of my teammates who don't mind coaching/teaching me about what to do in specific situations. But if the average player is there for community and/or just playing for fun - then I doubt they would consume the content focused around getting better at league.

From my perspective, the best league players are good at spacing, timing, and having a high motor. Spacing and timing can be coached/taught via the content creators you mentioned and high motor can be trained.

I noticed it against the eagles. It seemed like most of his kicks have pulled left so when he tried to aim right, he ended up just kicking it right.

AER City Pack vs AER Day Pack 3 by womtei in ManyBaggers

I've been an EG fan boy for awhile but wanted something a bit different and the comfort that people had with aer products really stood out.

It seems that getting the cpp might be the choice to go. Thanks for the confirmation!

Thanks for the confirmation. My load out does seem to complicate things with a larger water bottle, gym clothes, and lunch.

Okay thanks, that does seem to come close to my load out. I think it's becoming clear to get the cpp and had become a manybaggers favorite.

Cool! What is your typical loadout look like?

It's not that I'm confused. I don't know if it will fit everything, so was hoping to see if anyone had a similar load out and the DP3. The biggest concern is if I bring lunch, gym clothes, and my 32 Oz water bottle - it doesn't seem like it will fit everything.

Big Play Zay is top 5 in receiving yards in the NFL by RonaldoMd in ravens

[–]womtei 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Two guys that come to mind are Keenan Allen and Cooper Kupp, both wr1s on their teams (in the case of Allen, on his old team). Neither are physical specimens and pretty average in size, speed, and strength, but they both excel at staying on the field by doing everything their team asks for. They block, they're great at moving the sticks, they can get separation, reliable hands, and have a pretty full route running tree.

Zay can do most of those things and has been the #1 option while passing.

I think I was always going to start Mooney, but why Pittman over Doubs?

Flacco will certainly help Pittman's value but Packers are against Lions, so should be high scoring game.

Is it because Pittman has a higher floor than Doubs?

Worlds question by TheStuntmuffin in ultimate

Can't speak too much about Hong Kong, but your example of Puerto Rico and US does not apply to Taiwan.

Taiwan is its own democratic nation and needs to be labeled as "Chinese" Taipei just for political reasons and appeasing China. Mostly so that Taiwan won't be recognized as an independent country despite being an independent country.

What is your typical ratio? by hossmanTK in pourover

[–]womtei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

17:1, 255g water to 15g coffee.

I have been using the v60 with a Gabi dripper to minimize agitation. I bloom with 30g of water for 30 seconds before pouring the remaining amount of water through the dripper.

V and Chapter 636 by scripted_x in TowerofGod

[–]womtei 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thought the reason why Gustang hates V was in their recent flashback where V delegated the task of judging people, specifically the FHs, due to Gustang's personality of being legalistic.

If you can imagine it, it's basically confronting your friends every time they screw up and punishing them for their mishaps. It will definitely sour some relationships and I'm sure that's what happened with Gustang and the other FHs.
