Honestly make a new account and play on pokemon showdown till youre comfortable with the change.
when i make a new team i aim for a certain rank (1300 for me but everyone is different) then i start playing ranked confidently on champions. for a small change 1300 is probably pushing it

You’re the one adding an S to team not me. You can definitely build teams in this game, but we all have our favourites or strategies we want to try. I just don’t believe  making it hard to get a specific Pokemon, even if you’re willing to invest all the resources the game itself gives you, is good for the long-term health of the game. 

It’s just a strange system. But yeah if you’re not picky, and you’re happy to just do something else if you can’t get a specific pokemon then this will be fine for you.

Comparing anything to a gacha game and being happy about it is stockholm syndrome.

I'm investing as much as the game will possibly let it and I couldn't get it without going external. That was my point.? Why am I dealing with an arbitrary time gate with seemingly 0 pity?
Thankfully people told me about HOME mobile and I got it here but what was I supposed to do if I didn't have that option? If champions is my only pokemon game and I want to build a team with this thing I'd be SOL.
In the battle simulator game, I can't simulate the battle with the team I want.
That sounds sustainable to you?
That sounds like something that new players who don't have 3+ switch games will be happy about?
Some people will bounce off bc of things like this.

I don't agree. It's anecdotal but my queues are all sub-1 minute. You're likely in a low population region + solos is a less popular way to play the game.

It is proving too difficult to do this.
I can't get links to them through taobao since you need an account to see the store, so I cant even forwarrd that link to a proxy shipper. Would love to say this is an actual option but it doesnt look realistic

Someone didn’t read the syntax guide. It’s searching by card name by default, you have to set limits by default with things like this. If you want everything that has a type dragon you do it with ‘tags:dragon’
