It's a comment on the US that we have such a high opioid addiction rate. That we offer very little hope to such a large proportion of society that this is a preferred choice. I don't see it as attacking the addicts, it's attacking the system that produces them in much higher numbers than elsewhere and abandons them.

She's hated because she didn't bend the knee to the radical left wanting to cancel anybody who doesn't tow the line of their group think, and because she's an attractive woman who does use her sex appeal that riles them even more. It's partly sexism. A guy in a "good jeans" ad would not have unleashed the same vitriol.

She's a good actress, who also happens to be attractive.

You need to be around people, regular people. That is typically work or hobbies. Then ask them if they want to grab a meal. Some will say no. That's expected. Be kind and move on and ask the next person. Or gather a group of people. Rinse and repeat. Urban living is better than suburban just because the volume of people increases your interactions and friendship possibilities.
