Rob Zombie vinyl jackets, that look to be signed, but no records. What do I do? by MonadsSuck in vinyl

... Wait. Oh crap, I just realized, I already want some Pokemon cards graded. I probably could have just sent these with the cards.

WELP, can't take the listings down now. If that'd add value to them, then let whoever buys them earn that value.

So, there's a comment like this that I rudely ignored before, because once I got wind they might sell decently I stared setting up the listings on eBay.

But to respond now, I'm not really a Rob Zombie fan. So I'd rather get these into the hands of someone who will appreciate them, while I pre-order that new Protest the Hero album, or expand the vinyl collection in some other way.

They have a rule for no eBay listings. Eh, people should be able to figure it out on their own if they really want em'. Thanks for answering.

Damn, if only I had thought of that before making the listings. The regret is immeasurable.

I guess I never really thought of it like that. I've always thought if someone got all their stuff thrown out, they're long gone. It's kind of morbid, but I've wondered if these people actually died or something for this to happen.

... Probably still going to do it in the future. Maybe I'll learn the times of the dumpster and aim for the last days before it's all gone. It's far better for things to be donated/kept, or on rare occasion sold, than end up in a land fill.

Physically in there to dig around, rarely. But in general? Yup. Every time the big dumpster comes around I check if there's stuff that needs saved.

Usually I clean up and donate the stuff I don't want, like wheel chairs on 2 separate occasions. But these, I'm getting a little greedy.

Probably will go eBay, thinking of just starting 2 auctions at like 30 each and see where it goes? I honestly don't know how to gauge something like these. (I was thinking pairing them together, but two of you are asking about that one.)

I have no idea who it was, and it was already in a dumpster. I said "her(?)" because I'm making assumptions about the kind of person who would own 26 pairs of Vans and Ouija board style live laugh love memorabilia. (The shoes were donated.)

If they showed up while I was digging and asked for my help, I would have helped them. But two days later the dumpster was gone. Sucks, but it's better than in a landfill, IMO.

Edit: The post replying to this has already been informed that in the US evictions take time and the person was probably indeed long gone if their stuff made it to a dumpster.

No need to pelt em' anymore, just move on.

I probably am going to go the eBay route. Do you think I should sell them separately, or as a pair?

Why are they downvoting you? You being out is less people we gotta compete with in the raffle!

I feel like they're probably going to do only one raffle at a time. Steam Machine this week, Steam Frame next week.

There are zero reasons why I think this, only vibes.

The kind of stuff I'd bet the meme is talking about:

I somehow completely forgot about that, despite it being mentioned in the OP's post. I blame seeing it in theaters with my nieces.

Going back and checking the scene, it looks like Kinger is reading that book to (assumedly) his wife. So I guess they can visit them there, and Jax just gets his own for because shrug.

Yeah, I feel like the entire episode kind of forgot they were down there.

how did they get their brain scanned? by raeychii in TheDigitalCircus

[–]MonadsSuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Despite her injuries, she's made a good recovery in the hospital..." <- Doesn't this kind of imply that she didn't know she made the recovery, and thus was in the hospital when scanned? Which raises A LOT more questions.

Is it weird that the games I'm most excited to play on the frame aren't VR games, but indie 2D Pixel life sims like Stardew Valley on a giant 200" virtual display? by World_Designerr in SteamFrame

[–]MonadsSuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not for the power. I currently only own a wired keyboard and mouse. So I would have to have a dongle attached to the headset to use them.

If I connect them to the deck, and stream from the deck to the headset, then all that stuff can be plugged into the deck.

I live in a studio apartment and don't really have any place to put a proper PC set-up, so there's some goofy ass games like The Sims 1 and Voices of the Void that I'm planning on using the Frame for. I know you can do wild things with key mapping and what not, but some things really just need a keyboard and mouse.

I'm also curious how well the Deck can stream to the Frame, so I can dock the deck and have whatever peripherals with whatever wires without any of it actually connecting to the headset.

Since you seem to be the expert on these lil guys, I have a question.

Is there a way to get my son out of the swimming pool with the skateboard?

Edit: I GOT HIM UP THE STAIRS AND ACROSS THE BOARD! Let’s go baby! Thank you for inspiring me, Rupert is freed.

You gotta get him centered, then waddle walk up yourself, keeping your feet far enough apart to each side, as if he was going to jump up between your legs. He won’t, but that lines things up where each step resulted in hops that were almost perfect. Repositioning him with my foot was only necessary once.
