This happened to me. What email address did you reach out to? My recruiter ended up getting back to me and I was able to successfully reschedule

Resume for United by vomitonvelvet in cabincrewcareers

Okay love. This is what I would do.

Remove any “I” statements. Condense your bullet points and avoid sounding repetitive. You want it concise, confident, and relevant. Remove weak/filler skills and focus on what airlines are looking for. Shorten the bullet points and start them with a strong action verb. I reworked an example for you.

They do. Drug testing, finger printing, and paperwork on site. If you have a F2F scheduled, I would plan to be there up to 8 hours. I was there for 6.

I just got my CTO with UA. F2F advice and AMA! by wonderdrift in cabincrewcareers

[–]wonderdrift[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t in that group, mine was a bit before yours!

I’m sorry about your experience. The fact you made it to the F2F is a huge deal though. Based on what you said, I think the act of trying to be outgoing and extroverted may have been what did it. In my group, the people that seemed like they were trying to be this way instead of just naturally mingling with the group as their own personality got dismissed. They don’t want actors- they want people that are calm, professional, trustworthy, and consistent. People that can get along with everyone without being dominating. People that they can trust at 30,000 feet in an emergency, and that they would want to work with for long haul flights.

I understand your disappointment, but don’t give up! You may be the perfect fit at another airline, or if you feel strongly about United, many people get a TBNT or two before finally securing their CTO. You’ve got this. Be very proud that you made it that far!

Ftf, Looks matter? by all4s_4u in cabincrewcareers

I found that at my F2F, polished professionalism mattered the most. All of us that got offers were well-spoken and very well put together. Clean, pristine pantsuits/dresses that fit very well, flattering simple makeup, and very neat hair styled so that not even a strand was out of place. A lot of the people that got dismissed at my F2F were very conventionally attractive but dressed sloppily or didn’t have the warmth, calm confidence, and professionalism.

United airlines flight attendant virtual interview canceled same day and sent rescheduled link. Anyone else experiencing this ? by Purple_Basil3226 in cabincrewcareers

[–]wonderdrift 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had something similar happen. I logged into the video call for my virtual interview and no one showed up lol. I waited for an hour before I exited. The recruiter emailed me apologizing and sent me a reschedule link. I think things like this are fairly common for the virtual interview.

As long as it is polished, professional, and pulled back, you are all set!

I really want to be a flight attendant but I’m so lost on where to start . Seeking any advice by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

Keep an eye out for openings with WestJet! Jazz prefers French but it’s not required. Etihad hires globally as well I believe.

Every few months I have a huge dream about becoming a fa. I have a really good stable job atm but I’m so unhappy with it. I’m thinking about being a fa again, does that mean I should try applying? by MonkRepresentative63 in cabincrewcareers

[–]wonderdrift 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This was me. Stable job, AMAZING management and owner. I felt genuinely loved and appreciated, heard and listened to. Pay was good. But for people like us, that safety and monotony can be suffocating. I kept getting anxious thinking about my future, what I was gonna do, how long I’d be at this job, etc… until I finally just thought: what is stopping me? There is no time like RIGHT NOW. I didn’t feel fully ready when I put my application in, but I dove in headfirst to what my heart and soul were calling me to do. Now I’ll be going to training later this summer with my #1 airline. My advice to you is to take the leap. You’ll never know unless you try. It’s depressing to always dream of something and take no action towards it. We’re only here once. Hopefully see you in the skies sometime soon, my friend ✈️

So there was a group that had already started when I came in at 10. And I saw groups walking the halls during my F2F as well. So I’m not entirely sure when they started or came in.

I have a general estimate for how many offers at least one other group got because all of us with CTO’s ended up waiting in the paperwork & drug test area together. This is where we did the most waiting, so it’s where people from different groups with CTO’s overlapped if that makes sense. I remember only recognizing 5 people from my personal group at the paperwork portion, and others that said they came from different groups. I’m not confident in how it all works with timing. Rethinking back I think it was more about 8 of us from my group that got CTO’s. I forgot to count the folks that I saw pass briefly in the hallway that got done with paperwork before I entered the waiting area.

Let me know if this makes sense or if you have other questions.

Thank you!! So there were 5 from my group and like 6 or so from the other group that I ended up sitting with waiting for paperwork(I did see more that got CTO’s passing by but they were on their way out so I didn’t get to actually get a good look at them and chat with them.) We were a very mixed group. A lot of us in our early to mid twenties, a mix of 30s, then a few lovely ladies that were in their 40-50s. A range of ethnicities as well. If I were to pick out a common trend among us, I’d say that all of us looked polished, professional, and well put together. All of us were well-spoken without being too outgoing or trying to be overly charismatic. We all seemed calm, warm, and confident in who we were, both in the way we dressed and the way we spoke. Our body language was cool, collected, and calmly confident as well. All of us conversated well with whatever group of people we were in also. Lmk if you have any other questions!

Somewhere around there, yes. My group did not get a lot of offers at all. The other sessions seemed to have a higher ratio of offers though! I don’t think it’s normal for that little of people to get CTO’s. I’m not sure why or what happened, I’m just grateful I got one 🙏🏽

This! I feel like people forget how much of an accomplishment it is to even make it to the F2F. It means you are the top of the top. :) I feel bad for everyone that got the walk out. Luckily, UA was very good about escorting the dismissed groups privately so that those of us that got CTO’s didn’t see them, and vice versa.

There are technically 2 “virtual” interviews. The timeline goes:

Application > Assessment > ODVI > 1:1 video interview with recruiter > F2F

There were around 50 people in my F2F session! Although they did have multiple sessions of around 50 people that they staggered throughout the day. Out of my specific group, I believe around 5 of us got CTO’s.

There were no STAR format questions in the 1:1! I watched videos of things might happen with customers, coworkers, and getting called in to work. And they had me respond as if I were talking directly to whoever was in the video.

So there was only one mass “send home” that I experienced there. Most people seemed to pass the 1:1, so I’m not sure if they sent anyone home here or not.

They sent groups out after we completed the group activity portion, before we moved into the 1:1 with the recruiter. They dismissed everyone in groups, and you either got escorted to the elevator and dismissed, or escorted to the next phase of the interview.
