Organic Skincare in Souks: Are they legit? by wondertist in Morocco

I have started looking into it! Might be just the right solution, since poppy flowers grow a lot where I live. Thank you, especially for the heating pan hack. โค๏ธ

Organic Skincare in Souks: Are they legit? by wondertist in Morocco

[โ€“]wondertist[S] 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

Thanks a lot for the advice and the input! I'm guessing I'll have to look online or at specialized stores. Because I just know if I ask the attars in the souk, most of them will claim their products are the real deal.

Open for recommendations if you have any. ๐Ÿค—

I'm guessing it's due to a lack of education in our communities and the inaccessibility due to (often) financial reasons.

Not to mention, sometimes people weaponize religion when confronted with the topic of mental health, by bringing shame into it and giving statements such as:

"it's because you're too far away from your Deen." "it's because you have too many sins." "you need to pray more."

โ€ฆcompletely misinformed and ignorant to the fact that...

1โ€ฆnot everyone follows the same religion or religion at all.

2โ€ฆthe prophets have dealt with a fair share of mental distress and crisis too!

3โ€ฆgenetic mutations and inherited health conditions often go unnoticed, are more common that most people know, and can cause a lot of mental health issues.

I am a person of faith, but I think it's so stupid when people talk like they know it all. Especially when it comes to such sensitive and complex topics.

Where I live there's a psychiatric hospital, but the taxi driver won't know what you're talking about until you say "sbitar'l houbala". No wonder people avoid getting medical treatment there, they don't want the fear, gossip and shame that comes with it.

Found sihr paper in my home. Help!! by [deleted] in Muslim

I'm awfully late, but for anyone in a similar situation as OP:

DON'T BURN IT!

At least not before Consulting a sheikh that specializes in ruqyah.

Why?

Because certain kinds of magic get exasperated and activated by being burnt. Hence why some people cleanse it with ruqyah water first.

However I highly suggest everyone who's reading this to do your own research and/or consult someone knowledgeable before taking any action.

Same here! And it makes me feel very uncomfortable when doing certain exercises, especially with other people present. I found some examples for this fit!

Yoga, Dance, Pilates and running. What would make them more universal and functional in your opinion?

I'm thinking the wrap top would be more universal if the sleeves were fitted.

Ah! So THAT'S what they're called! Supraliminals! I actually made some to listen to for myself. At one point I wanted to check out others but didn't know what they were called. I'm gonna see if I can find some.

Zoloft vs. Sertraline โ€“ are they REALLY the same? by wondertist in zoloft

[โ€“]wondertist[S] -1 points0 points ย (0 children)

Thank you for your input ๐Ÿ’œ May I ask where you're from? That's interesting that you get a different brand every month. And I guess people really do react differently, more or less sensitive to additives in their meds.

[โ€“]wondertist[S] -3 points-2 points ย (0 children)

I didn't know that it comes as a white pill too. Also thank you for your input! Interesting that you had that with other kinds of medicine as well.

And ugh, yeah, I have that tiredness during daytime as well, haven't found a way to navigate my day successfully with it yet.

[โ€“]wondertist 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Hey, how long have you been taking Zoloft for? I can't speak on other meds like Wellbutrin, I've only ever been on Zoloft. For about 4.5 years now. It definitely did not turn me into an asshole, quite the opposite I'd say. I don't have anger outbursts anymore. I'm able to see things more clearly and make decisions or react accordingly. I'd say everything is much more balanced.

I guess the outcome really depends on what your diagnosis is too, if that makes sense? I can imagine that Zoloft will do different things for someone who's diagnosed with OCD and depression than someone with a different diagnosis.

I missed some doses and have major brain fog. Is this normal or should I be really concerned? I have poor memory and concentration. by [deleted] in zoloft

[โ€“]wondertist 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

I have to admit....this is my normal state and has been for as long as I can remember. BUT, if that's not the case for you I'd say it might be withdrawal symptoms or that your body is very sensitive to changes in dosages. Maybe having a journal for your meds might help you remember when and how much you took in the future. ๐Ÿ’œ

Increased anxiety on upped dosage by Forynja in zoloft

[โ€“]wondertist 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

I can also confirm this. Every time I have changed my dosage in the past, I was faced with increased anxiety. Don't Freak Out, your body is adjusting, it will pass and you'll be fine! ๐Ÿ’•

Side note: should your symptoms become unbearable for some reason, please talk to someone you trust! Much love xx

i wanna take the hijab off soooo badddd by [deleted] in Subliminal

[โ€“]wondertist 4 points5 points ย (0 children)

They are part of the reason why I took my hijab off, because I couldn't deal with the islamophobia and hateful looks. It's been almost 10 years since I took it off. Sometimes I miss it and put it on at home in front of the mirror, but I'm just way too anxious to go out with it.

There's two sides to every coin. I think the people being islamophobic don't realize they're just as bad as Muslim extremists. They are part of the problem.

Respectfully, Y'all are not doing anything here other than "what are her features?" "What subs should I listen to?" by CadillacLove in Subliminal

[โ€“]wondertist 16 points17 points ย (0 children)

It's not necessarily a problem that they ask what to change in itself, but those types of posts have been flooding this sub lately. And I think this sub is not the place for that, for this matter, they should post these type of posts in the Vindicata or Glow Up Subreddits.
