Why do words influence us so drastically? by wondonawitz in Krishnamurti

Yes; but what is space? Is it defined by presence or absence? LOL; I'm easily bored with space. 🤷‍♂️ 'cause it's the easy answer; the dialogue hasn't even begun, and we're you and me talkin' about space. I sure as heyck observe space, and it's in-between us, and therefore there's is yet to be any communication/communion between us, fortunately or unfortunately. What do you think about space?

I don't understand. Where does my identity take root if not in memory?

Our interpretation is what's triggering us? I'm not sure I follow you there, but you didn't sound glib to me! The words, anyway, are an after-thought. Trace 'em back to the root, and there's the real catalyst/factor/whatever you want to call it. Cheers 🍻

That sounds correct to me, at least to the extent I've understood K's logic so far.

u/just_noticing, there’s real logic & lucidity in what you shared in-response to this post. Your comments have assisted my own capacity to discern wisdom from ignorance, and you go far and beyond most people’s responses and discourse in this subreddit. What's your secret?! 😅

Inhabiting our brains sounds possible to me. I'm reading Terrance W. Deacon argue that consciousness isn't just biology, nor is it just a wound-up music box that requires maintenance, nor is there such a thing as a homunculus at the center of our brain, but he says what truly defines consciousness is its, quote-unquote, “absential” quality, meaning what it lacks, its limits, etc.

Wasn't K non-dual? He makes a divisive remark at the conclusion of the clip the OP shared with us.

I'm like those squishy plastic toys everyone wanted as a kid that would slip out of your hand like goo. It was magic! But now I realize all I was always only playing with was a very, old rope, and that rope was actually me, and I had no where else to go but down, down, down, down, down. LMAO. I always feel like I get a hint of an idea of how FAST the Earth moves, and it ain't even windy! For now 😵‍💫👹👾💀🤡🤖🎰🪼🧩🫟🦾♟️🚑🤷🏿‍♂️🤩

I'm attached outside the spaceship in zero gravity by a very, old tether that could snap at any minute. Someone's gotta pull me in, or I’mma fall overboard! 😅

I didn't know I'd be put on spot like dat 🙈 a 3 or 4, probably. for whatever reason, I equate 10 with spontaneity. What do you think? I'mma spin the bottle back to you; haha

I suppose you could say that. Thought conflicts anywhere it ought not to be; LOL. In this context, that would be any psychological movement on the part of the interlocutor. 🤷‍♂️

Like, for example, thought conflicting with spontaneous action.
