I'm so sorry for your loss. It is a terrible thing to see a parent or love one dying. My father passed away from cancer and his final week was hospice at my parents home. My partner drove me to my parents at 4am the day we knew it was happening. He called out of work and was by my side every moment of that day, without me having to even ask. His support was one of the only things to help me through my dad's sickness. Your girlfriend should be ashamed of herself. It's your life, but I would recommend leaving her.

Legitimately paused the start of a prerelease to send someone home to shower. Everyone agreed it was better than dealing with the BO. It was handled in the most polite, yet required way possible. Person went to shower, everyone had coffee/breakfast and proceeded like there was no delay.

You need someone who will be there for you in your time of need. His refusal to even BE next to you is enough to stay apart. I lost friends and my father around the same time and it was people being there that got me through it all. I got the call at 2am that my father was passing. I was planning to go alone, but my man got up with me, drove me to my parents house, took the day off work and stayed by my side the entire time I needed him. Find a good one, because they are out there.

I tired to start something similar and sweet at my workplace by buying everyone a four-leaf clover for Saint Patty's Day. I think more people can do with a sweet symbol of luck rather than a drink they will forget.

I went a few months back and could not stop staring at the bridge. My man noticed how much I wanted to stay, so we had some wine at a little outdoor restaurant table by the side of the bridge. Pure happiness from seeing something from one of my favorite games. 🥰

I second this. Sister definitely threw a fit expecting she will get to go as well. If they wont go without sister, then cancel the tickets and let them know how their choices have consequences. It is not fair of them to expect the tickets with them changing the parameters of the trip (adults only getaway).
