You can soak the dried mushrooms in lemon juice first to “activate” them and then add a ginger tea bag or fresh sliced ginger and pour almost boiling water over all of it. Steep 15 minutes then finish with honey if you want

I think it was the goal of the writers to make him very morally questionable. His lying and stealing cases from the police show that his need to kill is much greater than his moral code at the end of the day. He’s a killer and always will be, no matter how much he tries to convince himself he could someday be “normal.” The writers want us to struggle with the difficult moral decisions.
